Can't understand why everyone isn't up in arms about this. If anything, for me, that decision was so rank it looked like corruption and was even worse than the red card. The fact that Smyth also made his outrage felt as loudly as he did also makes Cook's and his team-mates' lack of support look awful, and Marti didn't even mention it after in that hard-hitting club interview by our resident teenager, inexplicably. At 2-1, I wouldn't have bet against us snatching a draw.

It's a bit of a cheek for us to moan about Smyth not getting a decision going his way when he appears totally obsessed with diving to win free kicks.
He looks a marked man to me in referees' circles. He rarely gets a decision because of it.

The reason he throws himself on the floor incessantly is because he knows he has no end product so tries to tee it up for someone that can deliver. Sadly, he’s not very good at diving! Same routine every time. Beats man for pace, collapses to knees, play on. |  | | |
