🍻The Ratcliffe will be open for refreshments from 5 p.m. You can enter through either the Dale Bar or Ratcliffe entrance. The Dale Bar will only be used for seating. Last orders are 6:30pm, closing at 6:45pm. It will reopen for halftime.
Once the turnstiles are operational, both the 1907 Lounge and Our Spot will open at 6 p.m. These are open for all supporters.
A reminder that all alcohol is to be consumed inside the bars and not to be taken into the stands.
Good to see the return of this thread and thanks for all your work in promoting the bars in advance. Last season it worked really well and it illustrated how communicating and welcoming feedback benefits the club.
The Ratcliffe, Our Spot, and 1907 Lounge will be open this weekend.
The Dale bar room is open for seating; however, we request that all purchases be made at The Ratcliffe to help reduce our waste and costs. Thank you for your understanding, and I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Should you encounter any issues while using our facilities, please send us a message through the forum, dale trust, or email Anthony.Field@rochdaleafc.co.uk & commercial@rochdaleafc.co.uk

Makes sense only using the Ratcliffe for bar purchases for a friendly when the crowd will be much lower. There were certainly no queues in the Dale Bar last weekend!
The Ratcliffe and Dale Bar will be open from 12pm. The Ratcliffe will close after half time to prepare for a private event. The Dale Bar will remain open at full time for refreshments.
1907 hospitality lounge will be open from 12:30pm , access through the main ticket entrance.
Our Spot will be open once the turnstiles are operating from 2pm. .
Menu: Starter: Summer Vegetable Soup, Main: Carvery, Alternative Double Cheese & Onion Pie (Pre-Order only)
Juniors Mini Carvery or Chicken Goujons & Chips ( Pre-Order only). Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking. Please email commercial@rochdaleafc.co.uk

We received a positive phone call from our JW Lees representative today. Our barrel sales are higher from the previous season, when we were in League 2. All the bar team would like to thank everyone for their continued support. Every sale made through our bars, whether for football, rugby, functions, or club events, goes right back into the club.
I'd want to thank all supporters and the bar team for their support and assistance since I took over management two seasons ago. I am currently in my 21st season with the club and can't wait to get started this Saturday.
You may notice some changes this season, such as new products and bar layouts. I understand that these changes may not be suitable for everyone, however if you have any comments, please email me Anthony.Field@rochdaleafc.co.uk.

That's great news, keep up the good work and thanks for the weekly updates. Last seasons increase in bar takings would have also been down to the live football matches that were regularly advertised by yourself and shown before the game on the big screen/ televisions. In fact regular drink promotions were aligned with the live televised lunchtime games, it was a major factor in us arriving at the ground earlier than normal, so you single handedly increased revenue just with that simple communication. All the local sporting clubs/ cricket clubs around the borough provide Sky Sports/ TNT and clubs such as Radcliffe, Avro, Macclesfield, Boston also show live games so I'm assuming the live games in the bars are still part of the matchday experience? Before this facility was provided our gang and others had no other choice to watch the games at Spotland Reform Club or other local pubs. Can you confirm if the facility to watch live football tomorrow in the bars is still there please? It was mentioned at the fans forum a few weeks ago but as usual nothing has been communicated back to the fans. Theres no excuse for that when we have a fan representative sitting in the boardroom. Also, the Internet signal in the Pearl Street stand is non existent at times which makes it impossible to check other football scores/ use your phone. Would it be possible to ensure the television screens in the bar underneath that stand is on a channel that is at least showing the half time scores. Could the bar staff be briefed to perhaps sort that out prior to the influx of fans arriving at half time. Invariably those screens are normally just frozen with a picture of the Dale pitch on . Thanks.

Hello, I am not sure about the TV subscription just now. We obtained TNT Sports as a result of our involvement in the national league, and I'm not sure what will happen to TNT now that has been changed to Dazn. The scores throughout the game would be amazing, but it is beyond the bar staff's control. We currently do not have a Sky Sports a subscription at the stadium and there is no other channel delivering this service besides Sky Sports News.
The feedback would be better passed on to our commercial department. Commercial@rochdaleafc.co.uk

Cheers, i was suggesting half time scores on the televisions in the bar, not throughout the game, its a normal thing to do. So the short answer is, no there will be no live football on the televisions before the games. Thanks for your quick reply and feedback we'll have to change our pre match drinking venue then, find a pub or Rochdale cricket/sports club that shows live sport with Internet access that actually works. Why is it that every other football club can provide this but little old Rochdale can't...and it's not correct to suggest that they all have dodgy boxes to bypass the cost because they don't. It's so short sighted thinking, put a extra £5 on the cost of a season ticket and that generates £10k to pay for sports subscriptions, it's not difficult to do if people are actually interested in doing it. Is there nobody with any foresight or the ability to see a problem (cost) and formulate a plan to solve it, or does everything just go into the 'too hard to do' tray? I appreciate that these sort of decisions aren't yours to make.
The start of a 'New Era' and the matchday experience has already regressed from last season, live televised games in the bars have now been replaced with a matchday programme hunt. How are we going to take this club up to the next level, who is going to do it? I'm responding to you as a loyal customer and somebody who always frequented the bar pre match so please view this as constructive criticism and feedback. This is another example of us not maximising finance streams and losing matchday revenue, its so frustrating. Personally i've already ensured that my matchday spend this season will increase by several hundred pounds, that's on top of my two season tickets, its bloody annoying when you see some of the decision making coming out of the club, decisions that will ensure fans will go and spend their pre- match money elsewhere. I really hope that Cameron Ogden has somebody in the boardroom who is monitoring the day to day running of their club and scrutinising the decision making, reporting back, otherwise nothing will change from what has gone on before. I'm assuming a lot of fans are still shareholders, these sort of concerns need sharing with the new owners. You did request any feedback to be channelled through this forum. Thanks.

The Ratcliffe is separate from the stadium, and work is underway to resolve the TV issue, but it is more technical and requires further investigation. This is being looked into.
The Ratcliffe and Dale Bar will be open from 12pm. The Dale Bar will be closing after half time to turnaround for a function. The Ratcliffe will remain open.
Because of an attempted break-in. We kindly request that fans use the alternate entrance close to The Dale Bar. For safety, the main doors must stay closed. Should this change, we will notify you.

As many of you know I am very open about how we operate and we are always here make the match day experience a good one.
Today, I'd like to let you know that we are short in some areas and that all hands are required for Ian Henderson's first testimonial dinner. To save time and keep all staff members on the bars, keep everything running smoothly. Plastic will be used in the Ratcliffe and Dale Bars. Our spot may also use plastic if stretched with staff moving bars. I hope you understand our reasons for this. The Ratcliffe is set and ready for Ian, We please ask that you refrain from using this area.
The Ratcliffe will close after half time and aim to reopen at the final whistle for Hendo. This is a ticket only event.
Another note Ratcliffe & Dale Bar will open at 3 p.m., although the Ratcliffe will have reduced capacity. Southend are anticipating bringing 300 and 500 supporters. We expect a very busy pre-match and encourage supporters to arrive as soon as possible.
I would be grateful if any away supporters find themselves in Dale bar to kindly understand and welcome in our match day bars.
Thanks again and any issues experienced please report back.
