saw fighting breaking out, looked as if Cov fans had got tickets in the home end. One guy with a very bloodied face.

Same Coventry fans had a table in W12 club apparently. Apparently that’s not unusual for away fans to be in there . Sounds like it shouldn’t happen to me

I wouldn’t risk a clump in the chops for £12 an hour either.

They are stewards not bouncers.

I had a few Coventry fans with me in the home end today. They were sensible and didn't celebrate any of the goals nor say anything untoward. They loved the ground and had a great day.

Don't know why football fans can't just mix. It's just a game FFS. Don't get the same problems at cricket or rugby.

Go in the wrong end you take that risk. No it’s not cricket or rugby and it would be crap if it was.

I was in F block 5 rows away from it when it kicked off.

But I was then out on the beer with a cousin who arrived over from NZ until 1am so like Clive’s report it will have to wait until tomorrow xxx

Poll: With no leg room, knees killing me, do I just go now or stay for the 2nd half o?

...and there, ladies and gentleman, is why we will never really get the atmosphere at Loftus Road. The majority of us are too damn nice, decent.....respectful. Most fan bases aren't.

In the standing today someone brought a Chelsea fan who started chanting Chelsea instead of clap clap clap Rangers. Imagine doing that in any other home end in the country?

Reaction - me, a washed up middle aged dweeb, flashing him an annoyed glance. Oooh.

But that is what we love about Rangers, isn't it?

But wasn't this thread started because blows were traded with Cov fans?

Some random arse - who's probably in the process of weighing up the merits of changing his allegiance to Arsenal currently- is not worth getting caught on CCTV for, with the resulting ramifications to follow.

What sort of c**t goes to football for a fight. Chief.

Yeh it's pathetic.

Though, as we said in the Crown after the game, we've all sat in an opposition end at some point for one reason or another, there is a way you go about that, and jumping up and down giving it the biggun after you've scored is always likely to get you a slap.

Off the top of my head... been in the home ends at the following;

Arsenal (lost 3-0, boxing day mid-late 90's I think)
West Ham (2-2, the Clive Allen brace with the drag-back & turn)
Man Utd (lost 3-1)
Chelsea (the 1-1 draw not long after the Cantona 1,000th minute goal at LR)
Spurs (0-0 I think, good game actually)
Charlton (1-1 I think)
Leeds (FA Cup game, lost 2-1. Tasty, very very tasty, could not wait to get out!)

Each time I/we kept very schtumn. Not easy but really didn't want to end up in A&E.

edit: as we've never won when I've been in the home end maybe I should stop doing that!

I was in with the the home fans when we last beat Everton at their place. It was 1-0 to us inexplicably. The MOTD highlights were basically seven gilt-edged chances for Everton and our goal. That was it.

I nearly had a stroke trying to contain the excitement of scoring but I didn't fancy getting my gob bummed by a gaggle of bitter Evertonians.

We were in the Oldham end for the play-off semi-final at their place because QPR had put our allocation on sale to personal callers only i.e. you had to go to the box office at LR to get them, and we lived in Grimsby.

Drove across to Oldham in the week and queued for their allocation. Iain Dowie turned up to thank us all for our support, and we all got a free Oldham scarf.

God it was tough when we scored!

Was often the safest place in the 80s especially at London Derbies. I remember being in the shed when Tommy Langley scored for us against them. Hilarious but there was no way I was cheering. West Ham, Arsenal and Spurs all the same. Fair play to the QPR lads who went in the away end for the potential kicking afterwards.
