Ultimately though this would mean nothing if clubs were forced to be self sustaining as FFP would suggest. [Post edited 7 Mar 2023 9:34]

Lets make it a round $ billion between the both of them without splitting hairs. All tied up of course. I remember these guys being labelled skinflints on here a while back. Vincent Tan mentioned in dispatches here. https://www.sportico.com/leagues/soccer/2022/dc-united-valued-800-million-minori Personally i would love to see Brandon Cooper, Cotterill, Congreve and Rushesha being on loan to DC Untied this summer to get more game time. A tremendous adventure for young blokes.

I have known plenty of guys with bulging bank balances down the pub, with short arms and deep pockets. Being skinflints is probably why those well off guys down the pub are better off than most. Same with the owners. Just because they ( or their companies ) may be worth many millions of dollars, doesn't mean they have any desire to spend on Swans

I dont think the current owners are skinflints but more "wise" with their monies Read the thread on Chesterfield it is easy to to just throw money at a club and the owners did "support" MArtin in his first three Windows.. Maybe this last window players were less willing to come lets face it in the summer of 2021 we had just finished as the runners up in the play off final whereas in January we were "struggling" in midtable and stories abounding of issues with player/manager relationships In other circumstances would anyone leave a job and relocate to a job where things are not rosy.......where the company is struggling and rumours abound of manager worker relationship issues? Its so easy to throw mud at our owners and believe me I am by niw means one of their best fans but without them currently we would be sunk. Winter has a part to play in things I think his handling of the Paterson contract situation initially didnt help but I think we should stop trying to balme the owners and label them as tightwads and skinflints.....they are guilty in my eyes of the issues with our CEO and manager and how they seem to be dragging their feet on his dissmissal although all they may be doing is giving him the time all his fan boys on here have insisted on

According o the owners they have loaned or invested £16m . This is the greatest investment in Swansea city in history. Levien said there was more to come as there was great "growth potential". The January window was the result of players and clubs being unwilling to wheel and deal. Thank you Mr Levein for your ongoing commitment and backing, Of course i am now at risk of being abused for being a Yankee boot licker. Guess what? i do not care because I have no ego and being abused by politically minded nobodies is not concern of mine. The fans have their own ownership group that now could be a huge player in the running of the club. Sadly they have wilted choosing PR politicking on forums over financial acumen. This does not mean I give them uncritical backing.. Not at all. Martin is proving to be a moderate manger specialising in mid table obscurity. Spending money in January would have got Swansea into the top 10 but nowhere near top 6 in my opinion. More of the same is not an option and Martin does not seem capable of changing the dynamics of this side. The fault lines and looseness in defence persist. Luton literally walked their winner into the net with Swansea players observing and not interfering as Fisher shovelled the ball to the nearest Luton striker. Swansea could not have done anything less to stop the goal. Whatever RM's goals are he cannot get there on his own as the team is regressing not progressing. Calling out the "youth" of the team is is last "get out of jail card". Martin in my opinion has the rest of the season to get some fight energy and wins into this team. If he cannot do it this season then changes have to be made. A c good manager with this squad should get at least 4 more wins. If I was Winter I would invite Slavan Bilic and his team to observe the next 11 games with a view to taking over in July with a transfer wish list and an outline of where Martin s team is under performing. Martin has the option seeing Bilic in the stand to tell Winter to shove it and get 7 wins to save his neck and his lovely Gower lifestyle.

Reading your last paragraph clearly you have no experience in how to manage or get the most out of your employees. Let alone staying on the correct side of employment law.

That along with calling people Politically minded nobodies, calling fans dim and lacking intelligence amongst the other insults cast in the direction of others who have presented truthful facts and opinions, that vastly differs from his opinions and his version of the truth, yet he doesn't consider that as being abusive and yet he says he doesn't have an ego. Laughable and obstinately clueless sums him up perfectly, for me. A good long hard look in a mirror he needs. [Post edited 8 Mar 2023 16:46]

I rarely attack individual posters. The fans were given the privilege of being the owners of this great institution and wasted six years of everyone time and gave £400k to third party agencies for no return. Their biggest ever investment. They have performed very poorly. Their action were inexcusable in my view. 1000+ members and none of them had the courage to ask a questions through the whole sale process. Members voted to use £10m of money promised to the club to line the pockets third party faceless agencies from somewhere in England and put the Trust they owned at risk of bankruptcy. This is my opinion. I call on a member to come on here and apologise to the clubs other owners.

Nothing untoward about bringing a technical expert to assess why a dis functioning business is not getting results. The time has come to start asking for explanations and reasons for repeated short comings after 18 months. Martin promised results and progress. results and performances are worse. Another 11 games to fix it.
