Seriously though this is the most inspiring new manager interview I’ve heard at the Rs. Says all the things I want to hear. Playing formations to fit the players and not the other way around. Focusing on the players technical abilities. Attacking! Seems like a buen huevo too. Definitely got me excited. Now to see what happens on the pitch. Bring it on!

When he talks about knowing there’s quality in the squad to implement his playing style, I’m sure that he’s looked at some of the games under Warburton and Beale where Chair and Willock have played teams off the park and is going to use that as his nucleus. I’m expecting those two, assuming they’re fit, to be the first names on the team sheet, if Richards can behave he’ll be far more involved.

Willock looked to be training harder in that short video than he had for quite a while. Marti waxing lyrical about him at the end of the press conference yesterday. If it doesn't happen for him now it never will, with us anyway.
Also thought that interview with Hoos was quite revealing - they felt that GA would help to put more resilience into the players and that the tactical side would develop over time. Also comments about getting the most out of the creative players in the squad - a lot of what they felt hadn't happened was what we've all been going on about for a while now to be fair.
