If the 3 are to go then 2/3 of the players have to be real statements.
Think we will be well stocked in midfield with Downes, Fulton, Smith and Walsh. Think we are going to get a bit of money in with these 3 gone but it will be a completely new team this season so we need a good defender or 2 and the same goes for the strikers, attacking midfielder is very important aswell.
Going to be interesting, they get it wrong or fail to add and replenish to a decent standard then the shiit will truly hit the fan. I would be furious if I were Martin if we don't get the players in and not cover what goes out..... 3 out and 3 in doesn't cut it.
We lose Lowe, Grimes and Roberts.. We will need
2xDefenders
2xStrikers
Would say 1 attacking midfielder but with numbers going out and with money coming in then it should be 2 creative midfielders. Shall be watching with interest 😕 |
Why 2 strikers? Lowe was never really going to be used, we’ve got Whittaker so only one needed . Preferably Vydra over Nisbet.
Two centre half’s , can’t argue with that (looking at how inconsistent Manning is - admittedly not his true position) but one more ball winner/retainer in midfield is crucial. |  |

I agree, but Connor has already been replaced with Laird.
For Grimes we have Downes.
Lowe wouldn't get in the team.
I don't think it's as drastic as it seems.
Of course, we need to get some players in, but that was always the case and these sales will strengthen our hand in getting more in.
I'm extremely optimistic we will not be crying tomorrow morning. | |

Agreed 100%. If there are no incomings or massively inferior incomings there will be a lot of unhappy supporters at the next home game. And we’ll know what the owners real intentions towards the club are. | |

I really liked the look of Walsh and wouldn't have let him go. But Martin's reason is that he wants him to get games at CF and he won't get that with us.
As for Whitakker, I think he needs a lot more work. OK he scored a hatrick last week, but IMO has done nothing else. He needs to get games and needs a loan.
From what I've seen it looks like MArtin prefers Cullen.
If we buy a new striker, we will have Cullen as back up to 2 solid scorers.
Hopefully.
If Lowe does go, we will need a replacement for him too. Maybe Joseph will stay in that case. |

He hasnt and cant score,i s outmusled easily ,is not a midfielder-as was selected v Preston and his head drops.
