- political threads in general are deleted. Happy to have that discussion again but it's been the case for a while.

- honestly haven't seen a post that would fit the descritpion, please feel free to point me in its direction

- half past 11 New Year's Eve and you're posting antagonistic Brexit threads on a QPR message board, going after people who down vote them, and then bitching to the moderator about their removal? Come on mate, isn't life hard enough at the moment? Give us a break.

I’m a long term reader of the site but rarely, if ever, post.

Clive, in my opinion you do a cracking job of moderating/running LFW. We definitely do not need more hostile brexit threads...keep up the good work and Happy New Year all!

On the other hand . . . There has been much recent discussion in the press about the polarisation of society, and how people take sides and entrenched positions, and never meet with, or discuss issues with, other people who hold opposing views.

I am a Labour Party member and Europe supporter, but always worked in the construction industry, which brought me into contact with people on the opposing bench. This gave both sides a chance to argue their case, things very rarely got too heated, and we all went to the pub together after work.

I think of the LFW community as an extension of that - a bunch of good blokes who I don't actually know, but we all share a common interest in our football club, and when one of us is in trouble we all try to help.

So I found the Brexit and Trump threads interesting, in that they exposed me to those alternative views that I wouldn't usually be exposed to just by reading the Guardian and watching Newsnight.

I understand why Clive can't be wasting his valuable time dealing with political mud slinging, of course, but it's a shame the LFW family can't be trusted to have civilised discussions about worldly issues outside of football without shouting at each other.

If we can discuss taking your shoes off indoors, and sitting down to pee, then surely we could peacefully exchange ideas about Europe and Donald Trump?

Saw similar late NYE antagonistic brexit nonsense from a couple of QPR fans on facebook too. They had clearly been waiting to do this at a specific time. Pathetic.

Just trying to rub it in other people's faces at a time when they really should have something better to be doing. Doesn't help the perception that this type of sneering is all its ever been about for many rather than any actual informed concern on whether the UK should or should not be part of the EU.

Yup, time to move on.

We'll soon all have our lovely new blue passports (which are actually black and made in France), so all's well with the world...
