Good to see a cross party committee is looking into new legislation so that any Scottish born people living anywhere in the UK will have the right to vote in a future Scottish independence referendum.
Sounds a good idea as Nicola is all in favour of democracy, she has given the vote to school children, prisoners in Scottish jails plus any EU citizens living in Scotland.
Why should Scottish people be denied the vote if they happen to be living in the rest of UK because of work or even serving in the UK armed forces based in the rest of the UK. | |

In Glasgow 50% of people did not turn up for their vaccination appointments on Saturday and Sunday.
It seems in Scotland they just send out letters to last know address. Clearly more younger people tend to move about and are often no in regular contact with their GPs. Perhaps a stytem asking people booking their appointments will ensure more people turn up. | |

I see sturgeon has banned a cruise ship from docking in Scotland. This is despite it only sailing from UK ports , with British citizens all who had to have two doses of vaccines. These same people would be free to travel to Scotland by car, bus , train or plane.
It seems Nicola has banned the Scottish people on board from visiting their own country as well as Scottish people joining the cruise.
Perhaps they should call it a ferry as you can based a ferry without being vaccinated. You could even travel by car from Roi catch a ferry in NI to Scotland [Post edited 9 Jun 2021 8:28]

Everyone on the cruise ship has been vaccinated twice and it has sailed from UK ports with only people who embarked in the UK. No scientific reason at all. They could all have travelled by train, bus, car plane or even a sea ferry without any proof of being vaccinated.

Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham has told Nick Robinson, on the Andrew Marr Show, that he will be writing to Nicola Sturgeon asking for compensation.
It comes after Scotland's First Minister banned travel between Scotland and Manchester and Salford on Friday because of high levels of coronavirus.
He said she had treated the North of England with "contempt".
"It's hypocrisy," Mr Burnham told the BBC: "The SNP is doing to us exactly what they always complain the UK government does to Scotland."
He said, if the First Minister had made contact with him ahead of Friday's announcement, they could have come up with a different arrangement.
