radio bolton. on 07:35 - Apr 2 with 6274 views | kel | Finally got my response. Copy and paste job. “Thank you for getting back in touch with us regarding BBC Radio Manchester. Firstly, I’m sorry about the delay in getting back to you. I know people appreciate a prompt response and unfortunately we’ve taken longer to reply than usual — please accept our apologies. I'd also like to apologise for your previous complaint going unanswered - this was due to a technical issue and we can only express regret for the inconvenience caused. We have now spoken to the editor of BBC Radio Manchester about your concerns regarding coverage of Bolton Wanderers. BBC Radio Manchester covers 7 clubs in total, and has commentary deals with 6 of these. They send a reporter to all games for news, match reports and after match interviews to provide listeners with a great service. The team chooses commentary games carefully based on editorial decisions, local derbies, promotion and relegation battles, the fan base and other factors. Reports on other games are also given frequently in all commentary games. All clubs are featured across the season, but inevitably some may be featured more than others. Football coverage on the station has been the same throughout the coronavirus pandemic - although the team haven't been able to travel to some games, they've provided the same coverage by following games on live streams. That said, they are now back to following teams for away games. I hope this helps to explain BBC Radio Manchester's approach and many thanks once again for contacting us.”

May as well not responded. The only thing that's interesting there is they've included the fact that fanbase contributes to their decision making.

radio bolton. on 21:34 - Apr 4 with 5721 views | Sandyman | Bolton were covered by full match commentary last Friday as were Dale, So you'd expect it would be fair to offer full match commentary to Wigan, Oldham or Salford tomorrow. So just say so, instead of this stupid attempt to evade the fact repeatedly.

without wanting to defend their season long love affair with pigs feet, the game v Newport does satisfy the promotion battle criteria as well.

I've stopped even listening to footy at all on there on match day. The pre and post match bias to City and Bolton is vomit inducing. R5L for me now. Dale never get a mention there either.

They also covered our Scunthorpe and Forest Green games with a roving reporter. The point that Bolton fans keep spectacularly missing is that we aren't bothered if Dale get commentary or not; instead it's the ridiculously excessive coverage and love-ins given to "BOLTON WANDERERS" that irks everyone.
