Wild Camping 21:19 - May 28 with 2765 views | bryanwadesquiff | Looking to get away for a few days walking around Our Gower but on a budget...been looking at prices for pitching a 2 Man Tent at popular campsites and coming in at around £25.00 per night. 5 nights coming in at over £125. (if i last that long). Don't mind maybe 2 nights at that price for showering, treating myself to a BBQ, taking on supplies etc... "Wild Camping" on National Trust property is apparently illegal, has anyone on here just pitched up without repercussions?

Wild Camping on 21:52 - May 28 with 2677 views | Neath_Jack | We had homeless pitching tents outside one of our projects in the centre of Cardiff, no one moved them on. I'm sure you'll be fine. Just do it, what is the worst that can happen, some nerd asks you to move on.

Don’t leave any litter, put out any fires, stay away from livestock etc, I doubt anyone will bother you. Never done it myself, but regularly see small tents pitched in dunes and empty fields.

The Tafarn y Garreg Pub does wild camping (think they charge £10 a tent) the camp is just opposite the pub, I meet a lot of people using it as a base to go walking the beacons area. There's ample parking, food and drink in the pub (dogs are welcome) and the landlord is a tidy fella.

The complete opposite of "wild camping" there, but the Tafarn y Garreg has one of the best pints of Heineken I have ever tasted!

That was sounding really good, but then I'm sure I saw the word 'Heineken'. Must be a typo, surely?

Well camping in a field surrounded by trees next to a river, with the the only source of heat being a campfire...seems pretty wild to me. Agree, the Heineken is superb but quite strong.

If you like a cold pint of larger, the Heineken is top notch. They also serve "Little Goat" real ale brewed at Ynysmeudwy (which seems to be very popular)

Wild Camping on 13:25 - May 30 with 1973 views | controversial_jack | Heineken has improved beyond all recognition.During the 70s , it was just a run of the mill weak beer, but it's really good now.Not up there with the top Czech or German beers, but still very good.
