Anyone remember him starring in a BBC mini series from 1990, The Green Man, which was an adaptation of a Kingsley Amis novel? He played the landlord of a haunted pub in Cambridgeshire. He was brilliant in that.
PS Also heard on the news he turned down a knighthood because he didn't believe in the honours system. Top bloke.

Rip Albert Finney on 09:26 - Feb 9 with 2356 views
Saturday night, Sunday morning was filmed in the Gari and on the Mumbles mile despite the vast majority of people believing otherwise. Albert was simply known as Al or Al boy when he was a part of the Swansea firm ' Finney's Fannys ' ( back then fanny meant hard cnt ) who gave Frank Hennessy boys the ' Bassey bummers' ( back then bummers' meant Anus, the link is self explanatory ) a tidy slapping on the old platform at Bridgend train station.
Finney later documented this in his self penned book ' Tuesday evening, Wednesday afternoon' but his publishers wouldn't include it as you needed a certificate back then to be a football hooligan.
I have other facts available on request.
