Apparently there’ll be a six figure fee due to PSV if he makes another two appearances, hence why he’s being kept as far away from the first team as possible.

Literally like a new signing. Best part of a million euros and he's out of contract the end of the season.

Awful for the u23s on Saturday. Under orders to play him or he would have been subbed off at half time.

I’m all for positivity, but this is Narsingh we’re talking about not Messi

Who gives a sht he can’t play (if correct) due to an appearances trigger. Good. He’s crap ( and that’s me being positive about him) 😀

Much rather stick with the youngsters/ players who will be likely with us next season

Oh,..Dave, what's occuring?

Harsh but true.

If he never played for us again he'd hardly be missed, not fit to lace the boots of bloody Lamar, van der gunn and a load more in and out wingers we've had over the years .

We were warned about this player by a couple of posters from here and his previous club, planet swans did more due dillegence than Huw Jenkins !

Another waste of money, joke signing who won't be missed .

I would imagine most players in the last 7 years have had some form of appearance bonus in their contracts.

Maybe money is very tight and the owners don't wish to pay it.

It would be nice to know how much. 100k or 950k. At the moment we are paying him 30k a week (guess) to not play, whereas he might not be sold in January so an extra 5k a week, over the season, if he plays, and contributes, for the team.

I don't know if they can negotiate with psv.

Madness to pay someone that amount of cash over a season and not get anything from him.

That's just throwing good money after bad. It doesn't matter how much we're already committed to spending on him, paying half a million for another winger that is no better than a handful we've already got is lunacy, especially as we'll be trying to flog him again in January. A dozen games of Narsingh worth that much to us?

We have enough decent wide players so agree we shouldn’t waste more money on him. Suprised we didn’t prioritise exit this Summer even for a free if these rumours are true.

Even if we did prioritise his move, who would have wanted him? Particularly on the wages he’s on.

But the fact is, he actually might be!

If Montero's constantly injured and Celina out too, Narsingh could well be our most creative/dangerous offensive player!

We've had some good results so far but let's not get complacent and sleep walk down the division - we're down to 14th now and in desperate need of goals. I'd love for Narsingh to have a run in this division.

He might be. I always thought he looked half decent going forward - strong, finds a decent cross. Not that we've seen anywhere near enough of him to really make a decent call though. A massive waste whatever way you look at it.

I'd like to see him get a run of a few games too to see what he can do. Can't be any worse than some of the others.

Now then.

This is where the 'take your medicine' necessary cuts argument falls down. While getting rid of anyone possible in defence, why did we take on 2 more wingers in the summer who let's face it, are no better than the 5 wingers we already had in the squad?

The planning was stupidly haphazard

Another huge black mark on Big Nose's record.

In any normal business, he'd have been sacked long ago for gross incompetence, and that's before we even start talking about his duplicitous dealings regarding the club sale.

We were trying to sell/loan out three all summer. All had interest. Narsingh had an offer he turned down.

People complained when we didn't lock down Woods before the deadwood was cleared out of his position, and they complain when we do get the replacements in first.

McKay and Asoro are certainly no better than Dyer and Routledge but they're also a lot cheaper in terms of wages. We can afford them in the Championship.

Rumours were a few clubs were interested UK, Turkey, Greece and Holland but we held out too late to get a fee. We paid £3m+ for him so plenty of clubs like a free! He was rated in Holland before we signed him. If we’re paying his full wages and not playing him to avoid paying more, wouldn’t be better to let him go for free and subsidise wages.

"We have enough decent wide players"

No we do not. We are struggling to create any sort of chance each match we play. Our wide players are largely to blame as their decision making when attacking would see them struggle one or two divisions below, let alone in this league.

He was rated as a decent but not spectacular winger in the Eredivisie (also inconsistent). There was a point early in his career when he was thought to be a top prospect but that had long since past. People who watched him every week were surprised we went for him and paid what we did.

Decent in comparison. James, McKay, Dyer, Montero and Roberts offer more than Narsignh.

That's highly debatable. Narsingh was poor in the Premier League, playing against many of the world's best defenders each week. McKay and James have been poor in The Championship.

Jeff struggled in the Premier League but looks far too good for The Championship, perhaps the same would apply for Narsingh. Unless he has a run of games it is difficult to be sure.

Roberts may offer more, I agree with you there. Defensively he is very shaky but going forward he is excellent.
