Nice place.

Best way home is via the toll bridge that by-passes Bath. Bathampton ?
Costs 20p but saves lots of time in Bath traffic.

Hope she has a great time.
Premier League football as well !!

It reminds me of Swansea back in the early 90's. Been a few years since I was last there but I reckon she'll enjoy.
Trains get you to London within an hour plus the New Forest is a great area to explore and visit.

Just realised it's Southampton I'm thinking about.

But Bournemouth is nice.

I’ve lived there several times over the years, went to the Uni and been back for work a couple of times.
It is a lovely place but certainly has its fair share of crime. Got burgled a few times living in Winton including at night when we were all in the house. Need to lock up thoroughly downstairs.
Nightlife was good and plenty of decent bars.
I enjoyed living there overall, hope she has a great time.

Bournemouth more or less just blends into Poole
Gazza lives in the area and can often be seen wondering the streets!
Brilliant nightlife, big GAY community, loads of restaurants..etc. It really comes alive in the summer, a good train service to Southampton/London, a lot of eastern Europeans due to the seasonal work, the BIC for concerts, nice little towns/villages near by Wimbourne,Wareham,Christchurch,Brockenhurst not so nice is Branksome

I can think of worse places I would want my daughter to live

My eldest son and family live in Wareham about 10 miles away, going there over the years have tried all routes and find the fastest one is M4/A34/M3 from Pembrokeshire takes just over 4 hours (and I drive like a nun on valium) so 3 hours should see you there ok. Any help needed IM me. YJB

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

It was a while in truth.

Still sound advice though. 👍

He told me it is a while since he lived in Bournemouth itself but said "There is a BHLive gym at Queen's park. At the top of Winton there is an Italian next to a pub, the hop and kilderkin. Both are good. I have a mate in Christchurch that is a mechanic - Burch motor works. Clubs....I'm a bit too old for that but there are loads in Bournemouth town. All goes down to preference. Obviously her new work colleagues will be able to help her out. If assuming she's living in wimborne road Winton (bh9) she will be well placed for amenities as it has a very large student population there"
Hope that helps.
