Box office (again) 11:18 - Apr 24 with 2920 views | Stanisgod | Anyone got a reliable phone number to get through on. I need to move my seat on Saturday as Stan jnr is coming so he needs a ticket. Just cost me 50p to listen to a load of crap and no human available. Why do we make it so hard to buy a ticket? 🤔

Just rang that number, actually very, very UNHELPFUL. Initially it is telling me that you cannot purchase tickets from this number and then gives a website which, when accessed, does not allow me to renew my season ticket for some unknown reason. Therefore I stayed on the phone in order to determine why I can't renew online and was told to hold on because my call is very important to them etc. etc. However, after holding for some 6-7 minutes and hearing the same message every 15 seconds; another voice tells me they are experiencing a large volume of calls and I should ring back: then I'm cut off. What a fricking joke, employ more staff and provide an actual service for once!

Just had the exact same. Listen to loads of recorded nonsense, then it rings and rings before they then cut off your call with the message that they are too busy.
Box office (again) on 11:53 - Apr 25 with 2685 views | TacticalR | 0208 740 2613 is Customer Services, so not intended for ticket purchases, although oddly enough if you've got that 5 ticket flexi deal you have to go through Customer services.

As an update I emailed the box office, explained the problems and got a call back within 15 minutes.

"experiencing a large number of calls" . almost always means "a trickle of calls but but we are all on tea break"

Exactly the conversation I had with the lady! I ended up emailing my grievances and about 90 minutes later a lovely lady rang me and apologised for my problems and sorted the tickets and waived the booking fee. Doesn't make it right though.

In the end I decided to physically go to the ground and renew my season ticket in situ. There were three members of staff in the Box Office at approximately 12.15, a guy who was busy doing nothing at his desk (Conor, no doubt) and a couple of ladies; one of whom served me. I thought it pointless to ask why they didn't answer the phone so instead asked why I wasn't able to book on line and she said I should have clicked on 'My Seat'. However when I got home I tried to find this on the website, again without success. This is obviously because I am old and a part of the female anatomy, which is an acronym for 'Can't Understand New Technology'. The upside, however, is that I'm far too old to be employable and am able to turn up at the ground whenever I like, having travelled on public transport at no cost. Happy Days!

It's obviously a QPR in the Community scheme to get persons of advanced years out of their homes and exercising by having to travel to the Box Office.
