Tough. Maybe if they knew the consequences to their family then they would think twice. As it stands, the price is paid by the victims whilst those who may (or may not have) known what acts their family member committed can carry on.
Currently, there is no deterrent for those people doing these things. They end up dead, become a martyr and its win-win for them.

My mate was caught up in this last night, it wasnt a pretty sight.
But all those calling for "action". What you gonna do? Seriously? What can ever be done about a bunch of idiots driving around in a van and then jumping out and stabbing people? The answer is not a damn thing.
There are 6m people in this city and there have been 4 (including that Westminster guy) who have done these things - with everyday objects. There is no way to stop this.
I disagre.
There is a way to stop this it won't be quick or easy.
These twisted individuals have parents,brothers ,sisters uncles and aunts ,religious leaders and responsible people in thier community.
These are the only people who can put an end to this murderous ideology.

I know. The difference is Labour, in their manifesto, has said they will ban all arms sales to Saudi Arabia. Whether they would actually do that is another thing. The Cons, on the other hand, defend the relationship with the Saudis because it's "good business".
I'd rather have a Labour government that would move towards reducing support for the Saudis than a Conservative government that ignores the problem of continued extremism in the name of business.

Even though she was specifically warned about the possibility of an increased threat she basically accused the police federation of lying and doing the country "no favours".
Now then Lohengrin, do you think Teresa may was right to call the Police federation "scaremongers" because she didn't like dissent while she was weakening the country's anti terror defences to save money? ?
