Has passed away, aged 89. Best bond for me.

Nearly all of his Bond films were terrible. The Spy Who Loved me and For Your Eyes Only aside.

He was much better in non-Bond films like North Sea Hijack and Wild Geese.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Nearly all Bond films are terrible, to be fair.

My favourite Bond, even if a bit slapstick in the writing. Also had the best Bond bad guy and hottest Bond girl. (Jaws & Solitaire)

Not bad, just seen as such in your eyes, which is of no importance whatsoever

His films gave millions joy. Tongue in cheek? He was a master of it

RIP Sir Roger.

More wooden than a Viking longship on screen, but apparently a very nice man off it, and always exhibited a nice self-deprecating sense of humour. Top bloke.

RIP Roger..a gentleman that hated guns, which is quite ironic.
Am loving the Bond films currently being shown on Sunday afternoons on ITV.
Couldn't have been that bad an actor if he was accepted by RADA, even though he was only there for 2 terms.
Sean C's portrayal was closer to the the Fleming character, but nevertheless Roger's films were so very entertaining and an integral part of my childhood.

Love his bond films, even though prefer Connery style ones.

He offered something fresh and they are very watchable. RIP

Didn't she die in 1537 after giving birth to Edward VI?

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Preferred SC as Bond, Roger Moore's films were a bit more tongue in cheek though.

My personal favourite Bond film was On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but George Lazenby wasn't my favourite Bond.

He was so much more than James Bond. To typecast him would be unfair......now then can anyone remember a film he was in where right at then end he shouts "BASTARDS!!" when his wife gets bumped off by a sniper at a funeral?

I was brought up on Ivanhoe & The Saint.

His acting was terrible in those and went downhill from there.
