Dave Mc says...

With this decision having gone in QPR’s favour, the next hurdle is an application for a footpath through the Warren Farm site.

That too much be rejected in order for Rangers to proceed. A verdict on that application is not expected for another three to six months.

This is not a material reason to delay the training ground. I would expect that issue to be dealt with very quickly.

Just be our luck to find out that part of the land is contaminated!

Watch out for Brentford fans with Great Crested Newts.

Good News On Warren Farm on 12:49 - Mar 10 with 3818 viewsbob566

why would they want a footpath. If they stuck to it would that not take away their freedom to explore all the natural delights that WF has to offer. I hope to f*** that some day that Brentford guy has personal planning permission up for a converted attic or extension and he meets years of opposition to it.

SWF group raised £16 k on crowdfunding to appeal yet again, so hopefully they've run out of cash and goodwill to pay for further legal fees This saga must be coming to an end

Getting this training ground/academy is more important than a new stadium in my opinion How much longer before the spade goes into the ground ?

Not over yet...

http://www.ealingtoday.co.uk/default.asp?section=info&page=eawarrenfarmmarch001.

Further frivolous (we hope) appeal on the horizon

Had a look on the SWF unbalanced website and twitter feed the other day.
It's so unbalanced and spinny it defies belief.
I almost thought at one stage I must of been confusing WF with a different place over my last 40 odd years. Apparently it's a rolling meadowland with interesting and varied walks; much loved and well used by the community and thousands of model aircraft flyers will be displaced if this goes ahead. Strange. I always thought the cold, unused, desolate and decrepit place I went to every now and then was Warren Farm? A place that if the cinema industry decided to film Warcif The Worlds Two at then they'd have to maybe Tart it up a bit

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Been over 10 years since I seen WF.The old changing rooms and the canal bridge stick out in my mind.

Lots of fans continually casted aspersions against the board, I hope they are big enough to admit they where wrong?

And it only cost half a billion pounds and a series of 'errors' to get there!

When we see consistent well thought out decisions being made, then we can start to forgive the embarrassing past and hopefully, have confidence in our board. Keeping TF out of things seems the way to go.

I thought leases were normally around 125 years anyway for a flat or house which has been built already. So 200 years for a field where you're going to have to build your own facilities doesn't seem too bad especially when you've got guaranteed public access to some of it. In my opinion obviously.

SWF are too blinkered, they like to mention the peppercorn rent but don't consider the cost of building and maintaining the publicly available space and then don't acknowledge the improvement in facilities that they can't afford without our investment or provide elsewhere.

Just had a short piece on BBC London

Some fat bird clearly hates QPR who said the club are going to fence off the whole of WF to exclude the local residents..

Ealing Council response was It's always been used for sport.

This does seem to be edging slowly in the right direction. Shows you how difficult it can be to progress as a smaller, London based club, there are way smaller clubs out in the provinces with better facilities than us. It will certainly be worth the wait and effort when it eventually comes to fruition.

Meanwhile I saw a few weeks back that Chelsea's elaborate new stadium had received planning approval, seems a lot easier to get stuff done for the bigger london clubs.

I think Cheslea's plans are now on hold due to problems with the foundations needing to be much more robust than originally planned. This from a Cheslea supporting neighbour. Well, I've got to pass the time of day with him I suppose.

To be fair, the development will probably make her walk to Greggs anything up to six minutes longer. Those steak bakes won't eat themselves you know.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Well I was thinking she needs to do some sport herself

I wonder what she would think if it was housing being build.. most likely complain about that as well .

I find it astounding that it's taken so long to get where we are now.

The whole place is a complete and utter shitehole.....and has been for many a moon.
For decades in fact.

The facilities and the pitches were crap.
Nothing was anywhere near level.
Playing football on it was a joke.

I make the boy Hoos playing a wrong 'un here.

Let's have it right.......
Never mind us paying Ealing Council fortunes to re-develop the site.
Ealing Council should be paying us bundles to take the shitehole off their hands.

Make me right.....what have they done with it for all these years?
I'll tell you what they've done with it......
Half of fvvk all.

What's going on?

We should be told

Sort it out.

Can someone who's local take some up to date pics of the place and post them here?

I'm sure we'd all like to see what a dump it is etc.

No I'm not trying to be funny but based in Liverpool I can't just go and see.

Cheers

This was taken a couple of weeks ago when residents had a BBQ.

I find it unbelievable this has dragged on this long. It's always been a hole. No one goes anywhere near it.

Suits the club to have it drag on and on
Just like FFP gives the board more time before they bail out
