Question Time in Neath on 13:07 - Sep 26 with 2383 views | pikeypaul | I went to the one in Swansea uni 5 years ago. When they phone you tell you you've been accepted you must give them 1 question for the panel to answer and you may be called out in show if it's a topical question. The show is pre recorded,it takes place about 6pm then screened around 10:30pm. If Corbyn or May were on the panel what would be your question? [Post edited 26 Sep 2016 13:28]

Old Theresa would like that, she would be able to get Ozzy some more tax in.

These programmes are a stitch up. Viewers think that the audience ask 'ad hoc' questions when in fact all questions have been scrutinised, possible chosen to reflect the political views of the production team and those chosen to ask questions are carefully positioned around the audience to make it appear a random selection. I was asked to attend a programme on the same lines some years ago in that edifice to Cardiff's greed (Senedd (for God's sake - and I'm a Welsh speaker) in Kaaardiff Bay where that ubiquitous Welshman Huw Edwards put questions from the audience to the 4 party leaders in Wales (at the time Rhodri Morgan was Welsh 1st minister). All those asking questions (both main and supplementary) had been carefully selected beforehand to eliminate the danger of any controversial questions being raised. So since then I am highly sceptical of these programmes. Bet Neath will be filled with Labour faithfuls with a smattering of 'others' just to give the shiny patina of being balanced.

Yeah it will be painful for them to see how glorious neath is and they'll be full of envy and the discussion will probably be far too intellectual for the rest of the country to comprehend but I'm sure David dimbleby will break it down to help them.

That's not my experience of a Question Time audience. The initial questions are pre-selected (everyone in the audience was asked to submit two) but the supplementary questioners are selected entirely at random.
