....It's a very Southern one. I hope we are not going to be franchised away to some far flung Surrey town. (Or where ever the Ogdens live)
I see evil plots in everything Dale related these days :-)

Don't forget, Rodney hit the post in the first half after a mistake by one of theirs to gift him the ball and allow him to run at their keeper. We were celebrating a goal but the ball just curved on to the post. Dev did well to get his shot past the keeper.
Yes we played well today. The only time we brought pressure on ourselves was when we passed across the box. Thankfully, we didn't make tippy-tappy our main way of playing today. Long may that continue.
Have to mention Henry's goal. No keeper could have saved it. Top left corner, right at the angle of post and bar. Perfect.

Pre-Season Friendlies List
at 10:23 19 Jul 2024

Could one of the home friendlies be be free entry? The Salford one maybe? Have the shop fully stocked and open including the office in case people want to purchase a season ticket etc. Make a bit of a do out of it.

We had a similar thread a while ago ..... My moment was in San Francisco, waiting for a tram, when an Irish lass came up to me and said the last thing she expected to see in Frisco was a Rochdale shirt. The the tram came and that was that.

Where I lived (Newbold) we had the last horse delivered milk in the country - was featured on tv at the time. The horse looked like Mr Ed and knew it's route by heart: where and when to stop and everything, without being led. It was a lady who was always out with it as I remember.

He he. Not quite that old 49th. But I definitely saw 2 or 3 G&S productions at the Hippodrome. The Mikado for sure. I'm thinking 1965 -ish. My mother worked with someone at Rochdale Baths from whom she used to get the tickets.
Wonder who the outfit were then ....

Noticed Paddy Madden released by Stockport. Could he still do a job at our level?

Yes, Judd. In fact were you to substitute Rochdale in place of Scunthorpe it more or less, mirrors our situation.

Not sure if these have been mentioned but here goes:
Watching Rochdale Amateur Operatic Society perform Gibert &Sullivan at the Hippodrome. Then having a Chinese at The Bluebird (?) The first foreign restaurant in town (I think)- near the Salvation Army hall.
The slate piss stones at the bottom of Molesworth Street - they drained directly into the river.
There was a Methodist (?) Chapel that got demolished opposite those stones on Molesworth Street. Went in just before it got wrecked and it looked a beautiful place.
Vavasour Street: Had Newbold Infant school and a whole street of shops culminating at the Vavasour Hotel where, as little 'uns we used to gather to watch the fights.

Yes. I haven't dared to believe until now - dreading what due diligence might have turned up. So yes, exhale ....... Celebrate.
As much as I like the "return to the EFL in 3 years comment", I hope we don't panic and start chucking loads of money at it. This can be achieved in a carefully managed and sensible manner.
I know I am being hyper-sensitive. These guys seem to have their heads screwed on.
