The Eagle is like a creche, so many feral kids in the garden when the weather is nice. Not a place for drinkers. The Orchard on the other hand... Glad they turned it back into a pub after its brief spell pushing it as a wine bar but without actually redoing any of the interior, just sticking a couple fridges and a wine rack in.
It's a shame Tuck didn't go up to the National League, instead moving slightly up the NL South.
Played one of the youngest sides we've ever played in the Dev Squad yesterday, with an average age of the outfield squad just 16.88 years old, including Leon Scarlett and Kyreece Moore who are just 15 years old. Great to see that shift of the age of the team down, instead of keeping 21 year old Rafferty Pedder's around too long.
Absolutely hideous place, loads of over the top flowery decor. Doesn't look like a pub at all. Steer clear. Used to be The Hampshire Hog, which I never really got on with either. You're a stones throw from The Salutation which was a great Fullers pub and is now a (very good) Thai Restaurant in disguise.
Surely any such canopy would block the view from the back rows of School End Lower, so you wouldn't actually gain any capacity? You can also imagine some idiot pissed up away fan jumping down onto the canopy being a wally and it causing mayhem.

Petrie probably off at the end of the season - already 20, had an unsuccessful trial with a club in Scotland recently. A bit too old now. Sutton on the other hand looks a real player. Would love to see him get minutes off the bench in the first team later in the season.
I disagree with a lot of what you're saying - terminology and language evolves, along with the game, and a lot of the phrases you mention are a bit different or a more precise way of describing and analysing the game. Nothing worth getting that worked up about.
But you've raised a really interesting point about using AI to go over old footage of games to analyse and draw out statistics from it, to compare players from previous eras with modern football. Would be fascinating to see how the game has changed and is played differently now.
FYI, this geezer is a tout and might well just sell your ticket on for a profit. Did just this when I sold him a ticket at face value for the Euros semi-final at Wembley. If you do have a spare, I'm sure there's loads more fans on the lookout who aren't just trying to make an earner.
The Vale is Lifted - widely reported that Harvey Vale has signed a 3.5 year contract until 2028. Nourry will be stewing that the length of the contract is public knowledge, really weakened our imaginary selling position now. Will have to give him a mystery box extension to confuse everyone.
Agreed, although the standard is a joke. Hardly going to be good for his development. Don't think he'll reach the same heights he would have were he to stay at a top league (although no way of knowing, obviously).
It's guaranteed generational wealth for a kid from Colombia - it's a shame, but I get it. It used to be, pre-Russia, China, Saudi, that the most lucrative leagues were also the most competitive. For some people the allure of cash in the bank is too much to turn down.
Alfie Tuck has just been out at Enfield in NL South and played damn near every minute for them. A step up to the National League is next I would have thought.
I thought EDB looked excellent towards the end of last season, but he's clearly not fancied. He's 24 now. I think his race is run with us.
