If you want to stop people having to drive into London, stop building offices , shops etc in London.
If I have to work in London, in my diesel van, it's about £27 for ULEZ and CC, I then have to pay almost double then other petrol/ electric cars to park. I'm looking around £60 spent before I've even started. I think most are concerned with the environment, but I think the stumbling block, for me anyway, is it feels like a rip off. It's just seems like the solutions are just scratching the surface. Its just fund raising. Recycle plastics another con. Just gets sent out to Malaysia or somewhere and they just dump it in the sea anyway.
Just seems our players can't do a full season. Past managers have criticised the players mentality and I know this is a different team to Critchleys for example but we seem to do it every season. Just large parts of the season, just losing every week, get a result and string some decent performances together. It's getting a bit wierd now. No consistency, like lumpy custard.
I visited Italy 2 years ago. Sorrento. The Almafi coastline is stunning. Beautiful place. Italians know how to make music. The Italian sound is kinda the spine of my record collection. Here's a classic.
My kids went there. Had a reputation, but by the time my kids went, it had calmed down considerably. They had a uniform. Its all been done up now Loftboy, you wouldnt recognise the place.
Just my observations, from 25 years of driving into London from Bracknell, Berkshire. M4, M3 and A3, take the load. M4 travelling into London is approx 8 km of sitting traffic. M3 about the same, as you're basically sitting in traffic from Sunbury. The Putney traffic mentioned is probably due mainly from traffic coming down the A3 and M3. Closing Richmond park Roehampton gates has probably dispersed traffic going down Castelnau over Hammersmith Bridge, plus ULEZ. During peak time, before the bridge closed you would get about a mile of traffic from the over Hammersmith bridge. I actually think the roads around Mortlake and Barnes has improved as there's no reason to go down there (apart from visiting the mother in law !). But traffic on those 3 main roads going in has massively got worse. I don't really know what the upper Richmond road is like these days, up to Putney as i never go that way now, but i would imagine its probably got worse too as there's more traffic going towards Putney bridge. As pointed out above, the wear and tear of other bridges and roads would cost more in the long run than to restore or replace the bridge imo. But who knows though? I would say its better to have a bridge there than not.
Were going to France too this year. Haven't properly checked this yet but i think you need to check your fuel emissions and have some sort of sticker to prove the level. Also, we've used the Emovis toll tag/scanner which automatically pays when you drive through. We're going down south in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. This info could be useful to anyone going to France, apart from Haddock as he has me on ignore.. lol
Where does all the money from ULEZ and Congestion charge go? Not to mention all the parking charges, penalty fines, and dare i say it, road tax? They cant stop building in London, whose paying for all that? Surely all these multibillion pound companies that work in London should be massively taxed towards the maintaining of London's infrastructure?
Could we still mathematically get relegated? If so, i wouldn't start taking our best players out of the game just yet.. We should be trying to finish as far up the division as possible.
"The team could well be under instruction from the owners to stay in the division but not to have a tilt at the playoffs."
So the owners , who throw £2 million a month to keep the club going, has told/paid the players to not get promoted to the prem and receive £100 million. ?
I joined about 2007/08. Long time. I didn't post for a while, and refused to go on the forum but just write in those comment sections on Clives match reports. Ingham used to write epic posts didn't he?. Pretty sure he dj's too.
