Brilliant piece of business for us, regardless of whether he becomes a superstar or fades away. This is exactly what we have been crying out for, for too long. Seel high, buy cheap. Rinse and repeat. Improve the squad and finances over time. |

I suspect we are waiting to see if we get an offer for JCS, or get any Eze money. Whilst we might miss out on a bargain, I think it's worth the risk to see if we can have more to spend as a good striker could really transform our season. |

Good move all round. Hope it works for him, as if it does, it means we will have a more sellable asset or maybe he can rejoin the fold next season if all is well with him again. Let's hope this is the fresh start everyone needs. |

I suspect his main issue is his injury record. I'm guessing clubs can see how much he has missed, and maybe wonder if he is a diminished player since then or whether it's too risky to sign him and he e the injuries comes back. I'd be happy to sign him personally but relaxed about it. |

Some pretty amazing stuff if the poll is correct (which is might not be of course). Huge Labour majority Tories losing 2/3rd of their seats SNP routed LibDems having not far off half the amount of seats the Tories do Greens up to 2! Hard to believe Reform will get 13 seats - that's my biggest query on this poll, be interesting to see what happens. |

This is what support QPR does to you! No way that is happening here! |

Well I've voted in every election I'm been able to, however today I went in a spoilt my ballot paper. For many many years I've felt I've never had a true vote, so this is my token, admitedly useless, protest vote. I live in a London borough with a huge Labour majority, with a council where 54 of 54 councillors are Labour. I've voted for all major parties in my life, Labour the most times, but just find the whole thing depressing now - Labour gets the same votes here no matter what they do, their policies or who is in charge. I'd love PR of some sort. Will stay up to see some early results but have to be in work for 7am tomorrow so will wake up to see what the majority is, and how bad it has been for the Tories (and maybe the SNP). Whoever you support, it's definitely time for a change, will be better for us all in the long run I suspect. |

Great game that, really wanted Austria to equalise. What a save at the end! |

I'm happy to give him time to improve, but Larkeche doens't look ready to be a first choice LB at the moment. I think at times he tried a bit too hard, and ended up giving away silly freekicks etc, hopefully with a bit more confidence that would happen less. Sub only or a loan would be best for him I think. |

This is brilliant and complete madness in equal measure. |

Enjoyed that. Great performance from Usyk, was worried the judges would give it to Fury. |

Is DAZN the only option if you don't already have Sky, BT, EE, Virgin or Discovery? I'm sure I've bought fights on Sky Sports Box Office before but looks like I can't buy that now if I don't have Sky already. // Ignore this, I've seen I can buy it through Amazon which we do have. Looking forward to it. [Post edited 18 May 21:27]

Dunne wins the first header...and repeat! Absolutely pivotal having him in at right back, without him much of this simply doesn't happen. It's amazing to see we have finally managed to coach set pieces into our game! |

I think he'll make it in the Championship personally. Time will tell, but I think in the right team and system things could work for him. |

I think he's done well overall and been part of a much iproved defence. Lots of mention of young keepers - I don't really care age wise, especially with keepers, but with the way we want to play I suspect someone much more comfortable with their feet will be the focus. Be interesting what Marti thinks of the current crop - I guess Walsh and Salamon will become 2 and 3, or maybe 1 and 2. So I guess do we go with Walsh and Salamon (unlikely but I have no idea) and invest elsewhere if we think Walsh is ready / see how he does against Coventry and pre-season. If not I guess it's Begovic again unless we can find someone else. I'd have thought Walsh must be close now if he is ever going to be. |

There are normally 3-4 stanout performances, but last night was the ultimate team performance. Everyone worked their socks off, everyone was disciplined, clever with the ball etc. Begovic made a couple of great saves to keep the momentum with us. Dunne, up against the Championship player of the year, so good they took him off. Cook and JCS commanding and crucial blocks. I thought Paal was outstanding last night, and very good with the ball. Colback and Field absolutely bossed the midfield. Willock, Chair and Anderson were all brilliant going forward and working hard. Lyndon was basically on his own with our press being let them pass it about and then close - he must be knackered but had a great game and goal. I'm not sure there is one standout from yesterday. Marti definitely won the tactical battle 100% - We won because of the way he setup us and because the players believed in it. A nice problem to have as they say! |
