As has been mentioned, he has that knack/gift of getting into the right areas in the 18 yard box. His goal last night, Plymouth goal, Luton and Watford goals typify that. Against Watford, he's in the vicinity to score if Dunne wasn't there just before him. His goals to games ratio fares very favourably with many others in the league. The much-vaunted, circa £10 million, Cannon only has three more goals than him and has featured in five more games. If he's given decent game time going forward, he has more goals in him. |

Please keep him in the middle as he was wonderful last night. In that position, he has the ability to terrorise any team in this division. His movement, vision, range of pass and game intelligence make him a natural in that role. The goals will come too. [Post edited 5 Feb 12:02]

If he keeps putting out performances of such a high standard for the remainder of the season, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that a club like Palace puts a bid in for him. They are one club in the Premier League that clearly monitors this league for talented players: Eze, Wharton, Olise, Esse and Sarr attest to that. He reminds me of the late, great Glenn Roeder in the manner in which he brings the ball out of defence. The ability/bravery/willingness to do that is not seen very often in today's game but is highly effective, as evidenced last night. |

When does this s**te end. It's getting rather tedious. Thanks for your services JD, you've served the club well. However, if you decide to leave, good riddance. |

Great post, totally agree. The different prisms through which an identical situation/set of circumstances can be viewed, with some disgusting undertones, to boot, directed at one of them, is startling. There is no difference, yet some would still have you believe otherwise. [Post edited 3 Feb 10:22]

There was I believing that in spite of the contractual situation being identical, the narrative being spun was that Jimmy was different and seemingly a paragon of virtue. Paal and Kolli were in contrast, devoid of any such qualities attributed to Jimmy and perceived, by some, as pariahs. It so transpires that they're all trying to get the best deal possible, whether that be with us or elsewhere, which is entirely understandable. Forlorn hope, but it may be the case that the MC thought that he may not have been in the right frame of mind for today's game. Fanciful, I know. [Post edited 1 Feb 14:49]

Seems superfluous to our requirements considering we have Smyth, Chair, Saito and hopefully Dembele back soon. In the atricle, the player admits to being behind in terms of physicality, so the rude awakening of the championship awaits. Saito and Dembele are already physically challenged in this league, so we're going to add another of that ilk, when it's not needed in my view as he's not ours. [Post edited 29 Jan 13:14]

When Doak is on his game, I don't think there's any left-sided wing/full back that negates him effectively in this league, which isn't surprising after what he did against Man City's Gvardiol when Scotland played Croatia. |

Let's just give the youngster time to grow and develop as a player and not hype him, or some of the other promising youngsters, as potentially being the next big thing. It's way too early, but if the story is accurate, it's good to read that he has chosen to develop further at our club rather than get swallowed up and then forgotten/wasted at one of those puppy farms. Wish him all the best. [Post edited 28 Jan 15:39]

Most definitely the goalkeeper's error. In the end, Smith virtually heads that ball on Nardi's six-yard line. [Post edited 26 Jan 11:30]

What a brilliant league this is. I don't for one minute believe the baseless stories being concocted re: Dunne, but even though he's about third/fouth choice centre-half for us, he's better than Robinson and I can't believe how out of sorts Ahmedhodzic looked tonight. By all accounts, they've got Choudhury coming in from Leicester on loan and J J Kenny!!, formerly with Everton. As if their squad isn't bloated enough as it is. Well done Hull. |

The availability of Cook and Morrison is welcome and timely. Wednesday aren't an outstanding team but they are physically imposing. I don't expect either to start, but they may be required during the course of the game. Same will apply against Millwall, I suspect. Good news to have them back. |

If he does sign for Boro, it goes nowhere near to fiiling the huge void that will be left when Latte Lath leaves this month. Here's hoping a premier league side offers Liverpool enough money to sign Doakes and that's a potential rival considerably weakened. |

Evan Ferguson is a premier league standard player who strangely, in my opinion, has been treated awfully by Brighton. There will be many premier league suitors looking to either take him on loan or sign him permanently. I take it Kevin Gallen hasn't actually put forward any suggestions, because that's the hard bit. In the absence of this nigh-on mythical, good to go, prolific out-and-out striker who is within ours and many other sides in this league's budget, I'd say that we are progressing nicely: the goals to games ratios of Frey and Kolli are virtually in line with the majority of strikers in this league. Please continue to rack and stack players like Shelvey & Barnes. Neither is going to improve their inability to score goals: they've only scored a goal more than us and that's after our chronic start. That's why I don't see them finishing in the top two. I fancy us to end up scoring more goals than Burnley, even after Parker's customary January rack and stack, which will continue for the remaining weeks of the window. |

Totally. Before the game, I was concerned but they were good. Plymouth were poor though. Excellent headed clearances by Dunne towards the end, which I suspect your typical right-back may not have had the wherewithal to take up such positions. Rayan Kolli, what a finish, class personified, you don't teach that. Well done, young man. [Post edited 18 Jan 14:40]

No chance. Nowhere near Eze's ability and nowhere near ready for the Premier League. He (Esse) has hardly stood out in the championship this season. In fact, Kolli's goals and goal assists are better this season whilst having played far fewer minutes. Very odd signing by Palace |

Well done for highlighting those incredibly impressive numbers of Kolli's. We have a serious talent at our club, just hope that it's nurtured correctly so that it is maximised in the years to come. Merde day at work, but this news has pleased me no end. You R's. |
