Passport carrying Professional Plastic Paddy Clareman ,born in County White City.
Dad from the beautiful town of Graiguemanagh KK.
Mum some sort of West Cork, Killarney hybrid depending which Garda Station my grandfather was working out of at the time of her birth.

Mrs Bosh 100% Corkonian, who came over to London for 6 weeks in 1990 and still waiting to go back.

From a GAA basis, I have enough bases covered.

Oh Brian!
Someone is cranky tonight!

Give it 2 more weeks and we will be back at HQ entertaining Spuds and Brighton with good attendances, a new No. 9 joining next week, and people not trying to get carried away for a top 2 finish after Bennie gets a hattrick in both games.

Enjoy the weekend, I can feel your nerves ahead of the really important game at Páirc An Chrócaigh on Sunday!!!

I have to say that as pre-season opening games go, with a 5:30pm kick off, I am seriously impressed with what I am seeing in front of me!

Crosta & Mollica Stromboli sourdough pizza with pepperoni & spicy salami
Rocket leaves with diced red onion + Pizza Express Salad Dressing

Washed down with 2 (ahem) x LARGE glasses of Penfolds Koonunga Hill Cabernet Shiraz.

And the Rs are looking tasty too so far

what is the fastest time between yellow and red cards in a friendly?

Colback is likely to smash that record

EFL Fixtures out on 26 June.....So
at 09:11 26 Jun 2024

By a pure fluke I booked 13 nights away instead of 14 arriving back on 9th August.

Let’s hope the opening day excitement lasts a lot longer than it did at Vicarage Road last year!!

Unfortunately my 52yr old youngest brother, who I have mentioned on here over the years and a massive Arsenal fan, lost his own fight against his demons on Friday afternoon.

I might have posted on this before as someone myself who has a 1 inch difference in leg to hip length but what I call Jimmy’s awkward gait which I assumed was due to one leg being slightly shorter than the other may actually be a result of that double hip op.

As for his mates. There are only 2 clubs in ROI which lads are interested in and we are neither of them so don’t get too hung up about them only wanting to talk about Utd.

Louth accent is not the sexiest of Irish accents either 😂

Yes, he was an investor in it, as was his father in law Dave.

No mate, Smugglers is at the bottom of the high st. Sweeneys was a much bigger pub further up the road. It started to get a bad reputation a while back and it got taken over by another crowd who tried to turn it into some sort of nightclub - which went down like a lead balloon with the local community Facebook page.

Last time I was in there it had reopened as some fusion Indian restaurant/cocktail bar and it was a disaster. We ended up having a row with the management when we gave up waiting for half our group to still even get their starters after an hour and a half wait.

Haven’t been back since

No mate.

It was knocked down and they have spent at least 5yrs trying to replace it with a block of flats.

Yes, The Middlesex is a case of needs must etc and very local.
It vexes me that I can only afford to live in the South of Ruislip when I was an Eastcote boy growing up. My mission is to be able to retire within walking distance of the Case!

Eze for England!
at 21:21 3 Jun 2024

Agree. My concern is that his attacking burst might be judged ‘high tariff’ by Southgate. With that burst through crowded defenders there is the risk of turnover and Mr Cautious might prefer slow and steady possession which bores the arse off of us but less likely to be punished.

Grealish already sitting high and wide since Eze and Trippier have both gone off

I had 50 ways stuck in my head for hours on Saturday as it was the last song I was listening to when I was cutting the grass. Gadd on drums, Levin on Bass. Top tune.

I know most people on here probably detest Sting, but I am going to crack on regardless...I think Sting definitely borrowed, or had 50 ways to leave your lover as an earworm when writing the chord progression of 'Shape of My Heart'.

If it's to watch football with my brother and mates then it is the Middlesex Arms in South Ruislip which is 300yrds down the road.

If it's with the Mrs then the venue has to be a little bit more genteel shall we say (or expensive in reality).

Faves are The Case is Altered in Eastcote or The White Bear between Ruislip and West Ruislip.

All three were originally built as pubs and better than these new pubs and the recent trend of converting a high street shoe shop in to identikit, long narrow, Hennessy's, Three Wishes type chain pub.

being over charged on your card...
at 09:46 28 May 2024

Ok slight correction. The bank/credit card company will most likely ask you to address it with the retailer first before they go through a chargeback process. They would want to give the retailer the opportunity to refund it.

If it is a legit retailer with an integrated payments system then even if you do not have the receipt but have a card statement showing date, time and amount of the transactions, they should be able to trace the history in their point of sale reconciliation system.

It happens all the time mate.
