All comes from the clubs themselves looking to increase revenue, understandably. It’s so far gone now, the EFL deal illustrates that with 10 live games each weekend and all midweek games being available live. Flipping heck, all the EFL trophy games are being shown! Seeing your club live on tv used to be an occasion. That’s something else that has become lost in the pursuit of bringing access to everyone, all of the time. Some will love it, some won’t. Football fans would look to pay to have this available on demand rather than Disney/Amazon etc. All about where people choose to use their money - that’s one thing that won’t ever change. |

For those who’ve heard McNulty’s radio interview tonight, he touched on what the club experienced last season - there are some really interesting insights from him in the book. Gives a greater appreciation of the difficulties over the last year. |

There were 16 shirts that covered enough different interpretations on the club’s colours to offer fans a good choice. Don’t think the vote was sabotaged, but the initial polls saw voting numbers that won’t have just been Dale fans. Something that’s easy to manage. The winning shirt appears to be quite popular looking at Twitter, so while we might not all like it, the important thing is it sells well. A positive reaction is a good start. |

The club already have a mailing list which they can send out a ‘ballot paper from. People can reply via that. They’ve done the shop vote successfully before. |

Only about 15 mins in but he does seem to hint on evolving how we play - before it’s cut off annoyingly by the presenter. Last season they identified a need to “tweak the way we play”. |

The voting numbers were included after the first round of voting. The numbers should have been a concern for the club at the time as there’s no way that many Dale fans voted. Next time votes should be cast by email or in the shop only. |

That’s it, the colours are our identity. We were the only club to have blue/black/white in the Football League, now we’re the only one in the top five divisions. Edit: Sheffield Wednesday have now gone back to black shorts and socks. They always look better with black shorts as part of their kit but they are very inconsistent with using it as a third colour so they don’t count. Neither do Gillingham who have forgotten black for a couple of years now. There has only been one season in the last 17 when those three colours haven’t been in our home strip (15/16 which was a big mistake and inexplicably justified by the club). We should be proud of that. Having stripes every year at our level will affect sales too. The 18/19 and 19/20 strips were not noticeably different enough to ensure sales were good. There’s so much we can do with our blue/black/white, Bradford have shown that with their unique colours too. If we did the’Croatia’ or halves or hoops it would lead to something further unique and would undoubtedly sell as well. [Post edited 31 Jul 16:01]

Makes sense only using the Ratcliffe for bar purchases for a friendly when the crowd will be much lower. There were certainly no queues in the Dale Bar last weekend! |

While appreciating everything you say, especially the bits about pre seasons past being a bigger deal, interviewing a football manager after a football match is pretty basic and happens at levels much lower that Dale with even less resource. |

I think there’s plenty of patience and understanding of what the Ogdens and the newer people that have arrived will have to tackle. It’s things like this that those already at the club, new era or not, can influence and get right. |

Being fair, there was an interview with McNulty after he signed his new contract. Also, there has been no need for the manager to ‘read the room’, only for him to utilise the different ways of playing (which we did see last season, albeit not often enough) that make the most of the players attributes. We did pass it round at the back on Saturday as well, it’s more that we played the majority of the game in Carlisle’s half. The general point is spot on though, not having an interview with the manager after such a positive display is baffling. |

As said elsewhere, there should have been an interview with the manager to build upon the positivity of Saturday’s performance. One which aimed to focus on the changes those there witnessed. It makes you wonder if that was noticeable for those who could have ensured such communication went out to the town. That alone could have seen 2/3 people who have been reluctant to buy a season card change their minds. There could and should have been a highlights video available on YouTube, even if it was only a couple of minutes. There needs to be a shift in culture. Those at the club cannot complain if the new regime identify this very quickly and demand such a shift occurs. |

The Dale Twitter account has the action and score updates - don’t need to be on Twitter to view the webpage version of it. |

It’s only one game but there’s a definite shift in how we are set-up and amendments to our approach. Three at the back - Gordon, EEL, Beckwith. Adebayo-Rowling and Allarakhia out wide with the former able to drop in as a proper right back and everyone shifting along one. The football has been much more direct, going into the forwards quickly when required and looking to progress with our passing when we are in the opposition half. The first goal was excellent and illustrated this really well. Hope the club can help get this message out with McNulty’s interview after the game. It could actually help convince those with valid doubts that we may be seeing positive change. |

Simple questions are all that’s needed. There’s so much going round the houses that don’t get a defined answer that is understandable to supporters. For example: - how will we set-up? - what different formations do you feel we can play? - which players can play in multiple positions and what are they? - how effective can we be by mixing up our play? |

It’s been said before, just because people work in the football industry, it doesn’t mean they know any more about football than those who don’t. In many circumstances the opposite is true. |
