Just watched yesterday’s superbikes. Wow, I’m well and truly hooked. The balls in these guys, where did their fear chip go? I nearly had a heart attack when that one rider had a tank slap😂. Shame about the pit stop issues.
How he saved that from developing into a full slap I don't know, pure genius.
Can't think who the rider was now, I know he was on a BM may have been Davey Todd.
When you see how much the bike was out of shape in slo-mo you wondered how the hell he got it back😳
Wrap your thighs tight to tank relax grip on bars and get more of your weight over the front end, biggest thing is to relax the grip you have on the bars, and have a massive pair of those hairy things
I come off on the Pembrey circuit years ago because of a tank slapper and pushing myself further than my ability, walked away with bumps and bruises, really lucky.
I turned into your post before realising you could have told me result I like Hickman Not sure what they are doing but it’s not riding motor cycles as we know it

Its amazing just how these riders make it look like the bike is part of their bodies, they are naturals they must be they're incredible.
So many TV viewers and crowds think F1 is the ultimate in motoring skills , of course they are putting their lives on the line every time they strap in , good racers all .
C4 have my main look into F1 coverage , I take a passing interest in whoever won that weekend with no real concern of that event .
Now for me MotorGP , IOM TT is covered by the obscure ITV4 with their highlights show . They do try to promote the biking culture in fairness , F1 is non stop advertising tool , cars going round and round for over 2 hours waiting for an overtake .
These riders are doing 200 mph plus without a seat belt or airbag as a fail safe option .
I take my GSF Bandit to 70 and start to panic , wimp me , red line it no chance .
It's the highest level of athleticism, bravery and skill I've said it before Ste Nobody or nothing comes close in sport
Congrats to Michael Dunlop He's done it
Him and Hickman are different gravy and that my be harsh on the quality riders behind them, but those two have been top dogs for probably the last 5yrs. Both are so grounded and humble you can't help but be4 impressed with them.
Those in F1 earn obscene amounts of money and I'm not convinced they deserve it above what these TT guys earn.

Watched Peter Hickman on the superbike event this week . He won it with an average lap speed of 136 mph

They are I’ve heard from a chum at the TT that Hickman is a class act I well remember many GP riders point blank refusing to ride IOM. Even Sheene hated the ide For those not biker, average speed on a course of 37 miles ( Cardiff to Swansea in just over quarter of an hour ,includes going around a hairpin at 20 mph and traversing Parkiament Sq in Ramsey at not much more .

I bet Hickman thought there was no one to match him in those leathers and livery😂

You can tell that he's a class act, by the interviews he as, he's unbelievably chilled. Dunlop comes across in a similar vane, but seems much more business forecast on the job, Hickman comes across as a more relaxed character, both are brilliant riders.
Would have loved to have seen the great MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi trying his hand at the TT, different skill for him I know, but I'm sure he could have adapted.

The Doctor is right up there with my favourites Very few Italian and Spanish come to IOM which is did considering their pre eminence in GP.
