What is it exactly that is so admirable? Is it the air strikes that have, as confirmed by human right she groups on the ground in Syria, killed far more civilians than the coalition air strikes? Or is it the persecution of minorities in His own country (e.g. homosexuals) appealing to you? Or maybe the invasion of foreign countries to ensure they become part of the new Russian empire the best part (which is diffferent to regime change bytheway)? Perhaps his mishandling of the economy is the thing that really inspires you?

Is it correct to say you don't like Castro and you don't like Putin and you don't like Leanne Wood and you don't like Corbyn but you are a Labour voter/member ? [Post edited 1 Dec 2016 22:29]

Do I like Castro or Putin? Nope, don't like ultra nationalism or dictators. Put in isn't particularly left wing either so I don't know why you are so fond of him. Do I like Leanne Wood? Nope, don't like nationalism in that form either. And she doesn't have the intellect to run a community council let alone Wales. Do I like Corbyn? Nope, don't agree with his soft foreign and military policies nor do I think he isn't a good communicator. Am I Labour member or supporter? Not a member, am a supporter. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Do you believe in nationalisation ?, higher taxes for workers ?, high levels of state involvement in the running of the country ? and do you believe in sovereign borders ? [Post edited 2 Dec 2016 8:07]

Good point. The U.S. would never invade anywhere where they weren't supposed to be or siphon off the assets of those nation states into the U.S. central bank to pay for any such invasions. Cough.

You understand the difference between regime change (e.g. Iraq) and annexing countries so that they come under your own flag (e.g. Crimea, South Ossetia)? As for "siphoning of assets", I assume you are alluding to Iraq again? Funny then that the majority of oil fields in Iraq are not American-owned at all....

Nationalization of industry? Yes, some such as rail, post office etc. That's a position many Labour MPs have had before Corbyn. Higher taxes for workers? Well, I would emphasize higher taxes on the wealthy and corporations, as opposed to workers. Again, a position that many Labour MPs had before Corbyn, and not a position shared by Putin for that matter. State involvement in running the country? Sure. Sovereign borders? Of course I do. I believe in parliamentary sovereignty and the borders recognized by the United Nations, unlike Putin.

A man who was KGB boss who oversaw much torture ,death and destruction. A man currently bombing the shyte out of kids in Syria but still, he s a leftie, a socialist and an American hater, so that s enough for some beauts on here. Ok, if that is your definition of a nationalist then sure. But "nationalism" to a lot of people these days means a flag-waving "get out of my country, you're not one of us" type of attitude. I don't subscribe to that. As for Old vs New Labour, actually John McDonell has adopted a very similar economic strategy to Ed Balls and co (e.g. balance the books, can't spend what you don't have, fiscal charter and so on). I would say the main difference between the two "Labour Party's" is Corbyn's indefensibly weak foreign policy, and attitudes towards national security and so on. Not forgetting the soft nonsense Corbyn comes out with sometimes such as "there shouldn't be drinks after work because it is discriminatory". Labour under Corbyn is just a fan club. Many "members" are really just fan club members as opposed to Labour Party members. [Post edited 2 Dec 2016 10:04]
