Magic evening at KPFS, and although a well deserved win for the Rs it could easily have gone the other way. The pessimistic view of the last 2 games is that we continue to give the opposition too many opportunities and with better finishing from our opponents could have lost both games. Dieng had to make crucial saves in each match, including the first minute against Huddersfield and there were a few match winning tackles to go with the moments when our central defenders dithered under pressure.

But! Through midfield and going forward we were superb last night. Johansen in the thick of everything prompting attacks from deeper than against Luton. On this showing that deep-lying role is surely his best. We kept going through a series of mishit chances, good saves or misplaced final passes until the joy of seeing young Luke nod the ball home. Our front three weren't at their best in front of goal, but the passing, spirit and determination were first rate.

Apart from the time-wasting Huddersfield were a decent team so an important and informative victory. I've been thinking our natural position in this league with this team is 6th or 7th, but if we can keep ahead of that play-off hunting pack we've got more magic nights to look forward to.

Great footballing game to watch

We need to hit the ground running - too slow to get started.

Bossed it from 35mins onwards

Only other criticism is that HTFC won too many 50/50 balls IMO

We'll be watching gap to 7th for a little while now
