Saints Linked With Portugese Wonderkid Tuesday, 13th Jan 2015 22:31 According to the Portuguese newspaper A Bola Saints are Spanish club Sevilla are chasing the latest talent to emerge from Portugal. The report claims that Saints are chasing Braga's Rafa Silva and that they and Sevilla are testing his club's resolve as well as his alleged 20 million euros release clause. Silva can play either as an attacking central midfielder or on either wing, the 21 year old joined Braga in 2013 and has made 50 appearances scoring 12 times plus 2 assists. He has also been capped 3 times at full international level for Portugal and was in the 23 man squad for the World Cup. He has played the majority of games so far for Braga and his good form has brought him to the attention of some of the big clubs in Europe. However whether he is one of the players Saints famed scouting system has been watching and there is genuine interest or if it just his agent trying to stir up interest for a move is yet to be discovered.
