Liverpool v Man Utd ….Off ?
at 23:13 5 Jan 2025

England's finest had a torrid time in the game, TAA had a total and utter nightmare and Harry Maguire missed a sitter to win it at the end.
Liverpool might be well advised to cash in on TAA as they have got that Bradley guy who seems like a top prospect.

The revival of New Labour and clear red water

The last figures for 2023/4 i seen was that there was over 7000 English residents that received hospital care in Wales, I'm surprised it's that many, also English residents registered with Welsh doctors also get free prescriptions but apparently the prescription has to be picked up from a chemist in Wales.
Also something like a quarter of the entire population of Wales was born in England and therefore get treated by the Welsh nhs, I haven't heard of the Welsh NHS refusing to treat people from England but there has been cases reported in the press that ive provided links for in the past of the English NHS refusing to treat Welsh patients and them wanting more money off us.

A lot of people on one side of the divide regarded it as a war but the English led UK state did not want to legitimise it as a war as that would have given the Republican fighters certain rights they did not want them to have.
The whole crux of the matter for a lot of people was was the woman that was killed 'innocent' or not ?, the IRA clearly thought she wasn't innocent and that left them with a problem hence the warning in the first instance.

Are you disputing that some Southerns (particularly rich ones) say "its grim up North" ?
English Southerners come to the part of Wales I live in to live, they would not dream of going 'oop North'.
It's called 'white flight', they love it in Wales and many of them send their English children to Welsh medium schools, they want their children to be Welsh.

Absolutely, but it's what a lot of Southerns say, particularly rich ones "Its grim up North", and they are often not referring to the weather or the scenery.

Indeed some parts of Swansea are really bad.

When people down South say its grim up North, they are more likely to be referring to what they see as the poor standard of living in the North of England and not just the poorer weather up there.
A lot of Southerners would pity you OHL living up North.

Some would not, the UK for instance still had the death penalty for a certain crime at that time even after they had done away with the death penalty for murder etc.

Watched 'I Dolours' on the back of watching 'Say Nothing ', I was surprised that Dolours herself when interviewed said the disappearing of the woman with 10 children was a war crime, some people would say that but I was surprised she said it.

Will Marian take Disney on ?, she did not take the Murdochs on who apparently owned the publishers or something after threatening to do so.
The justice system is not about innocence or guilt but getting a verdict either for or against, can Disney and their multimillion pound lawyers get away with naming somebody like that, would Marion want it all raked back up by taking it on.
If the author/Disney push her she might get her wig or nuns outfit back out, the might of the British Army had their hands full with her so watch out Disney.

Oldham grooming gangs: Government blocks national inquiry
at 15:32 3 Jan 2025

Infiltrated by the gangs, therefore gangs one step ahead, did you see the docu on the Rochdale thing ? (I think that was drug gangs), I think it was a police woman that was seen in with the baddies and nothing happened to her if I recall, what about that Manchester thing in the airport did they have a brother or was it cousins in the police ?, did anything happen to the ones fighting ?, if anything did I must have
missed it, can't be arsed to recheck just for a messageboard but the bottom line is the police seem to be batting for the wrong side.

If going for a country walk in the winter I often wear a bobble hat without the bobble, do they call that a beanie hat these days ? or just a bobble hat without a bobble.

I watched it on the box, Ospreys blew it big time, theÿ should have won the game easily and then at the end how they did not dink a drop goal over just shows the decision makers/outside half on the pitch at the time to be thick.

I hope that the British never gave the woman that was killed money to spy, that would be absolutely awful if that was the case.

Holiday crowds
at 19:04 2 Jan 2025

Not bad crowds about, Briton Ferry had 1,300 against Barry, Merthyr had 1,700 against Gloucester and Cardiff Blues v Ospreys was apparently a 12,000 sell out.

Don't know what expectations the Ferry had in the big league they seem to be doing alright even if in the lower reaches, Merthyr are top although they only drew on New Year's day but Merthyr still have a lead over Charlie Austin and Scott Rendall's Totten side.
Rugby in Wales in a shocking state it has to be said mind you.

Celtic 60.6% possession to Rangers 39.4%, yet Celtic only had 4 shots (1 on target) and Rangers 24 shots (9 on target), clearly possession isn't everything.
