| News Comment | Southampton At Watford The Verdict at 23:31:41
It’s never a nice feeling conceding late goals, but we’ve scored a few to earn 3 points, so can’t complain! This team is a work in progress, they will get better in time, and there are lots of twists and turns to come this season, so lots to look forward to. What would help to drive the team forward is for our more vocal so called ‘supporter's’ (they’re mong’s) changing their pathetic small town mentality of constantly mentioning a tin-pot club down the M27, who are no threat (and never have been) to us whatsoever. Pompey live rent free in these lads heads, it’s like the ultimate praise to continually sing about them! No other club in the land with a vocal support has such an obsession, it’s pathetic, embarrassing, and doesn’t help support our team in any way. How about just getting behind the lads as individuals and as a team, it would create a much more positive atmosphere both home & away. Up the Saints! |

Thanks for highlighting this subject, we certainly don’t lack passion for our team, but definitely lack imagination compared to other clubs when it comes to singing songs. I think this could work quite well, rewording the chorus of Spandau Ballet’s ‘Gold’; “DJE-NE-PO, PO, ALWAYS SCORING GOOD GO-ALS HE’S GOT SOME POWER YOU KNOW, HE’S JUST UN-STOP-PABLE, ALWAYS BE-LIEVE INNN, DJE-NE-PO, PO†(Repeat) |
| News Comment | Time To Get Behind "ALL" The Players at 16:10:44
Good article Nick, this disgraceful behavior by mainly moronic juveniles who know f'all about football has to stop, the manager picks the team, the supporters 'SUPPORT', simples. How is boo'ing ever gonna help a players confidence, it's counter-productive, which has an impact on the teams performance too. As you quite rightly point out there has always been this element of abuse directed at Guly, even when he was a pivotal part of the team, scoring crucial goals & providing plenty of assists (playing out of position) in our promotion pushes. I couldn't make the game on Saturday but listened to it on Radio Solent, the boo's I heard were embarrassing, & these bellends call themselves supporters, supporting what exactly?! At the West Brom away game recently I stared at one such angry young tyke behind me who boo'd Guly as he came on as a sub towards the end of the game, 'What, he's f'in sh*t' was his dumb response, 'He wears a Saints shirt so just get behind him', I replied, I got the same response, why do people like that even bother going to games? Retards. |
