Can you explain to me why you print anything Carlton Palmer says about Southampton and their players.
He - Carlton Palmer was arguably the worst , talentless mid-fielder ever to play for Southampton in the 90's. He was despised by Saints fans for his lacklustre performances in a Saints shirt. His distribution was poor, his tackling came out of the headless chicken book of football and his goal scoring exploits on a par with Ade Akinbiyi. He was , without doubt the worst performer in an England shirt in the early 90's. So what connections does he still have with Southampton having never played for them for over 20 years. Nobody in Southampton has a good word for him so where does he get his drivelling dross information from? Is he still dinning out on his non-illustrious football career in the hope like fine wine it will look better in the future than it was in the past.
Don't pass on my regards to him either. Please find another source other than from the guy who claimed he helped Leeds United win the title in 1992 - which of course he didn't - just an anecdote from his CV |

Never in field of human conflict has a man promised so much but delivered dross instead. His attitude speaks volumes for his ambition but does little to enhance his reputation. For somebody who can't pass, can't shoot( his last goal was nothing more than a poke with hope) and I'd actually say can't tackle without fear of a red card. I'd love him go to Noth London and be a big hit with advertising boards when he gets sent off. Gaston played well considering the lack of match time. Would be nice to see him have a run in the team. JayRod was looking sharp as was Shane. Surprised we didn't play HArrison Reed. Well at least the hacks from the Daily Saga Rinsed Fascist Mail led by that sanctimonious Martin Sordell who can't resist a sideways swipe at Southampton whenever he 'opens' his gob is not joining the media circus here but rather more interested in all things razzmatazz in London or teams from Lancashire. Well I thought that Yoshida was carrying an injury in the 2nd half. He seemed very slow and was always being turned inside out. Hoverman was just too slow and Punceon seemed to drop off in effectiveness as the game wore on. The passing in the first half was good but there was little penetration as the game went on. Lambo was OK but J Rodz was not very effective either. Only Steve Davis and gazza brilliant save were the only plus points. Its going to be hard slog from now on. We need reinforcements at the back asap. I was surprised that we didn't put on Ben Reeves and Mayuka to add a bit of pace. I shudder to think what Gareth Bale will do to that defence |
