Trouble is we always raise our game for the Arsenal's and Man City's and go back to mediocre against the teams we should be beating.

If Bednarek had attacked the ball, instead of trying to wrestle Haaland, he could probably have cleared it.

If Archer had squared to Dibbling, who was in acres of space, he would have had a much better chance of scoring.

Premiership level decision making!

You have to say that there were signs that we were moving in the right direction.

We seemed to be getting the ball forward a lot quicker and creating more chances. This was a distinct change from the ultra slow build up with absolutely no end product. I think Leicester helped us as they tried to play out from the back several times and gave the ball away.

The shirt pull on tall Paul going unpunished is just scandalous and so unjust. If Ayew was trying to prevent a potential danger then why bother to pull the shirt. A shirt pull anywhere else is a booking!

I still believe that we have some good players capable of doing the job in the Premier League but unfortunately for RM we desperately need some fresh ideas and a new face to inject some hope.

When you haven't won all season and cannot hold on to a 2-0 lead then you have to change direction and management because if we don't try something different then it's got to be more of the same.

Said it before RM is a decent bloke and I admire his principles but we need a bounce and it just ain't happening with him.

Under RH we were the pioneers of the high pressing game. The only trouble is we could only ever keep it up for about 70 minutes so more often than not we gave goals away at the end.

Now others teams have perfected the pressing game and we have moved onto this possession game and playing out from the back to a ridiculous extent.

We take an age to get the ball forward whereas teams like Brentford get the ball forward as quick as possible and regularly score in the first few minutes of the match.

The really worrying thing is that RM has no awareness of the issue, instead blaming defeats on lack of attitude or celebrating 3-1 defeats because the attitude was better.

I really love his positiveness and he seems like a good man but unfortunately I don't think we can make any progress while he is in charge.

It would have been a kindness to have off loaded Armstrong to a championship side because it's going to painful for him as well as us if he is given more starts.

Everyone except RM knew that possession football was going to end up with us giving away some goals cheaply but I didn't expect it to be every game.

We have some good players and have made some good signings so given the right tactics we should comfortably survive.

How long or whether it will even happen that we adapt very significantly will be the key.

The only time we looked like scoring was when we bought on Grealish, I mean Dibling.

We gave the ball away far too much.

If playing out from the back is such an important of the possession game then how come Liverpool ended up having more possession than us without playing ridiculous triangles in their own 18 yard box.

There were half a dozen times that we were caught in possession in our box with no easy pass on for our defender. Sometimes you just need to hoof it upfield, it's just incredibly naive to think playing triangles in defence is not going to lead to disaster.

Hope KWP injury not too serious as I don't think our strength in depth is as strong as we once thought it was.

There is a fatal flaw with playing possession football. In order to retain possession the build up has to be slow which enables the opposition to get behind the ball and we are forced to try and breakdown a solid defence.

Our team are all drawn into the opposition half so one misplaced pass or interception means their attack has wide open spaces to play into.

This is why virtually everytime the opposition attacks they look like scoring, and often do, whereas for all our possession we rarely create any clear cut chances.

The better teams have already worked this out and sadly I can't see us mounting a serious promotion challenge playing this way.

Absolute agony. The inevitability of the Wigan win and the equal inevitability of a late Spurs winner (almost as inevitable that it would be Gareth Bale).

For weeks now we have waited for the final life-saving win that would guarantee safety and week after week has passed with teams around us closing in ominously.

I am astounded that you can get as big as 30/1 on us going down on Betfair as the way I see it we are in the thick of a relegation battle.

If we don't win at least one of our next 2 matches - which are now must win as opposed to would be nice to win - then we have a real chance of going down.

As for rating the players, well we totally outplayed Spurs first half and early part of second half. How did Clyne miss the target when clean through with just their keeper to beat - a hugely costly miss?

Thank goodness for Spurs late equaliser at Wigan.

Next 2 matches look very difficult so could still all go to the last day.
