The team responded very well last night. Following Nigel's shabby treatment so much negativity from the the fans and national media must have made it difficult for them. There was an opportunity last night to put Nigel in the programme with a thank you but that was never going to happen.

However it was probably a point well won in the end. The team pretty well picked itself apart from Rodigues or Guly. It is now going to be interesting to see who else comes in because the bench last night was very lightweight and there were no options to make an impact to go on and win the game in the last half hour. I am sure that will change over the next 10 days.

Dan Harding Should Have Come On

Completely agree with above, thought at the time Pucheon was on the bench to raise his sell on value but would not have been such a good pick if things were going pear shaped. Harding will need to raise his game somewhat, as will all of them but yes he should have been out there.

First where was Martin? Back on Saturday please and Jaidi on the bench! Last night I would have taken off Hammond at half time, what a waste of space! Give the arm band to Fonte. Dickson, who should have started after his showing at Bristol, relacing Hammond and Guly moving to the middle where he should have been from the start. I believe all of our problems on the pitch are coming from the midfield not being in control.

It's the timing that puzzles me with the transfere window about to close and I believe another two still needed to back up the squad. I have heard that AP has been saying that if he moves on he would take Lambert and Lallana with him, no idea if this is true.
