Who’s ignoring it! You think the club and relevant authorities haven’t done due diligence and are now ignoring safety without ongoing monitoring?
I’ve made the personal decision to leave via Britannia rd, if anyone thinks they aren’t safe then there are options! Leave via Britannia rd, Hang back in the ground for 10mins (I’ve done that loads of times rather than trying to rush off at final whistle).
It’s the same for pre match, just make sure you get there in plenty of time, smooth access into the stadium, none of this last minute rush to the ground 5 mins before kickoff then complain there’s big queues blah blah blah. |

Didn’t Tyler go to Chelsea late 2022 and return V-quickly the same year. Jimmy Jay went there Jan 2023.
I’m sure they’ll both be top players over time! |

Temporary (heras type) fencing is nowhere near as safe/secure as the permanent fencing considering its designed purpose.
Southampton fc is a local business and well within its right to attract/encourage fans to enjoy a different offering pre/post match. They’re not doing a ‘Wetherspoons’ and undercutting pubs in town. The fanzones are not to everyone’s liking but there’s clearly a market for them! |

The fault here is with your choice of fanzones!
I’d never take my father (in his 80’s) to the Northam one as it’s just too busy/noisy etc (exactly what is was envisaged as being). The Chapel fanzone is much better suited especially if your in block 10. |

Before the game it was packed around Northam fanzone but stewards/security were doing a fair job of keeping a clear path for those passing through.
After the game I went straight up Britannia rd then left towards town, it was busy but the whole rd is closed off so a clear run right up to the other side of the footbridge.
Anyone in Chapel, Itchen and even part of Northam not feeling comfortable using footbridge after the game should go the Britannia rd route!
Really no need for a little weasel to try sh*t stirring with the council! |

Comments like this? “Ultra group leader of ‘the 1885’ has no interest in what other fans think, it’s all about their little group”.
If you think the banners look shit then the Markus flag (although great sentiment) was abysmal!
What’s weird proto ultra about it, loads of English clubs have big banners, or is it just some of the lettering/font? Remember the club have said the final design may be subject to slight change, so just wait and see the final result eh!
Go to any ground and you’ll find small groups who tend to dictate the songs that get going, 1885 is just a more organised version that can hopefully get/keep the support going when the team need us!
So many great things happening at the club right now, embrace the change! |

Why would you now start attacking the 1885?
It’s just a banner FFS, it’ll look great and is just one of the many new things being introduced to improve the whole match day experience, specifically in the Northam as the club stated.
If every fan had a say on these sorts of things it would just become a talking shop where very little ever got done. Im glad the club seem to be ignoring the nay sayers, nimbys and general negative pessimism. |

The club have stated the final banners may be subject to design changes.
Maybe that suggests there’s going to be more than one chosen and they’ll tweak things following feedback. |
