Back from Berlin this morning having landed at London City at the crack of dawn this morning - Travelling to the airport at 4am in Berlin was fun but excellent transport links I have to say not like this country.
Having said that until I discovered google maps I hated because their apps are not great. Anyway I digress...
Did the Trabi tour which if anyone goes to Berlin then I highly recommend that it was a lot of fun and drew a lot of attention so thanks BermudaBob.
Many suggested walking tours so we did a 2 hour one the day after the marathon which was perfect for Mrs Superhoops legs. And we had a guy from Berlin and so knowledgeable about the 3rd Reich and the Cold War. A great tour. We also did a river tour and enjoyed a few beers on board while chilling in the sun, again a great thing to do.
The trip out to Sachsenhausen was ok but it was cold, a little damp and the tour was sadly too short - I just thought we missed out on a lot. Will definitly do somewhere like Aushwitz and allow plenty of time.
Alexanderplatz as base camp was pretty good, but found food choices not to our taste - Although the kebab on the last night was the best I have ever had. Still the Missus managed to carb load when she need to so that was good enough.
The main reason for going was of course the marathon, managed to negotiate spots to watch her around the course so that was good, and most imprtantly, she knocked over 20 minutes OFF her personal best so a very emotional finish and was so happy.
All I wanted to say was thanks for all the recommendations as we had a great trip
P.S We go to Palma in 2 weeks for her next race so put your thinking caps on

Mate this is not a dig because I know what a delicate flower you are (j/k) I promise
BUT
Last season, after a few games you were pretty down on Frey and to a degree had a point albeit a bit early and now he is proving many wrong. I genuinely thing Celar needs a run of games, a goal to get his mojo and confidence up and he may well be what we were looking for
Trouble is with Frey playing well MC wont give Celar a run unless he gets injured.
We certainly agree about Saito because I think he will turn out to be a corker of a player as he becomes used to the championship. Never stops running and has bags of enthusiasm |

So thanks to everyone's tips.
I have booked a river trip, a short walking tour (couple of hours), a trip to a concentration camp and also the Trabi safari tour as recommended here
Sadly left it too late to book a table at the Reichstag so if anyone knows places good for breakfast that's pretty important to us. |

Am shocked as are many by this thread tbh
I think that with what MC had at his disposal we did good.
Lets start with Nardi. So many saying he should play last night, but after the Luton cup game many were saying Walsh should start the next league game and be first choice etc.
Dunne next. So, he really is not a CB and again 6 months ago people would not have been disappointed if he left. But MC moved him to RB and we have a different player. As someone pointed out, had he taken a knock the outrage that we risked him.
Frey next, not 100% fit so we have to get Celar some minutes. Gets one goal and it could open the floodgates but he has to play to get that one goal. And if Frey is not fully fit why risk him
Dembele next, this was the only one I agree that we should have started with. He is a real handful and whilst much doesn't pay off it causes the opposition issues.
So that's the majority of the players that were available to MC and perhaps could have started.
The rest of the side have been in or around the 1st team this season. So sorry Brian, but as many have said, respect a lot of your posts because normally they are sensible and level headed but cannot agree with you on this one |

All I will say is to all those who thought we would get hammered, we gave it a very good shot and several of my mates said we played better than Palarse in the 2nd half.
Unlucky tonight but lets get 3 points Saturday now please where it really counts |
