Sack him off and Walsh or A N Other starts badly, we look like idiots. Offer him a terrible deal that he'd never sign in a million years, if it all goes wrong next season Nourry can say that they offered him a deal but he had his heart set on Al-Ettifaq and we simply had to look elsewhere. |

If you get to do the tour of the new training ground, the chap who does it has a good story about that day, the late decision to get the flags, the panic trying to get them made, shipped and put on seats, and how Derby kicked off because they didn't think of it... |

Bear with me but, if we like Walsh, and want him to have a chance, is it worth having Begovic around the place? It's naive to think Walsh is going to get through a full season without a blip in form, is it worth having an experienced glove salesman at Harlington to help him through it and maybe step in if required? No-one else is giving Begovic a deal, so if he wants to stay part of it and is willing to take a monster pay cut (neither of which might appeal to him), would it, perhaps, be worth considering? If not surely that means getting a new no.1 in, sidelining Walsh again, and next season we've still got Walsh and Salamon, only one of whom can go out on loan this season, limiting the development opportunites of one of them. |

Just wanted to echo what a horrible experience it is. At least two hours of queuing and no guarantees over what will be left after the very early starters bundle out with binbags full of gear to flog on eBay. If you're after something in particular, I'd give the club shop a call and see if you get down there in advance and pay full whack with your QPR cash to save you the stress. |

It was another shambolic decision by the ref. Third of three subs in the same break, but the wind-up merchant is the only one he makes walk around three sides of what by then was a rabid bearpit. Probably gets an upgrade by the assessor for doing the right thing as he was closer to the touchline, but the smarter thing to do would have been to make him run off the pitch. The less said about the rocket scientist who hurled a drink at him the better... [Post edited 7 Mar 11:22]

For Willock, maybe the lack of offers he was willing to accept in January has spurred him on to prove himself a bit. I wasn't at Ashton Gate, but to me Saturday was the first time in a very long time that he's been able to run without looking like he's sh1t himself. A fit and interested Willock will be invaluable over the next couple of months, regardless of what he does in the summer. [Post edited 27 Feb 13:50]

It was at home to Fulham, 2001. I was in the paddocks and giving Brevett stick, he must have been involved in one of the tackles... We brought on Bruce and Kulcsar to replace Carlisle and Langley, Fulham brought on Karl-Heinz Riedle, who scored the final goal of a glittering career... |

Hats off to the new CEO for a triffic window, but I would have thought that any dealings with Newcastle are still aided and abetted by Amit, whose mate Jamie Reuben is a co-owner up there and still followed by Jude The Cat on Twitter...

On Cannon, he held his groin in the second half against Watford and did again before kick off at the start of the second half yesterday. I might be being charitable, but I don't think he's been properly fit since he got here. Or maybe he just likes holding his groin, we've all done it. [Post edited 21 Jan 16:57]

Speak to this man. You may be pleasantly surprised and find that you have more in common with him than you would think. Why not suggest a coffee in the work canteen, or an after-work drink in a local bar? Then, once you have befriended him, smash his mug and jam it into his throat. |

I'm less annoyed about Ainsworth not getting the bullet immediately after the Blackburn game after reading this... it's clear that the groundwork was being done and in retrospect keeping him in situ for a couple more games was probably preferable to going with Hall/Ramsay/whoever and giving the impression that we were rudderless. |

Was at Wembley for Jaguars v Falcons, I managed to find a bar selling Hells so had a better experience. Food and drink options were well below par compared to previous years though. A particular lowlight was a shockingly bad hotdog that I had to download an app to buy... bloke yelling at everyone in the queue that you weren't allowed to ask for a hotdog, you had to order online... |
