I do not think I have called Swansea people dumb. The members of the Trust were extremely passive and allowed their leaders to miss the chance of cashing in £20m. No one is blamed or held accountable. Voting for Brexit was not too clever. No one has explained their logic which means they are not fit to make any decisions of significance. Ospreys play a bad brand of rugby which no one wants to watch. This is the problem. Everything was set up for them to be a success. A modestly sized stadium, car parking restaurants presumably low rents. The only problem was the product on the field and the non development of players. They have voted to shrink. Shrinkage as a long term strategy cannot work. |

Sadiq Khan Is of Asian heritage. It is a fact. I do not walk on egg shells when talking about Asians. Why should I? The big English cities have big Asian communities. Some of my h neighbours are Asian. I speak Turkish myself to a decent level and lived in Asia for 7 years. I tell you what racism is, and racist chants are sung by Swansea fans home and away. It is an embarrassment to me. West Welsh people do not understand racism because it confuses them. They even get nervous saying Asian. |

Its good that you do not support the abolition of the Senedd. Thank you for clarifying that. PFi was a Tony Blair Government policy if i recall it correctly and not specific to Wales. People can elect who they want. If people want "useless fools " then that is what they will get. The Scots took the decision to ditch the Labour party two decades ago and may be moving back towards them. I favour more power for Government bodies not less. The 'cutting of red tape' has weakened govt bodies that appear unable to prevent the mass denigration of our environment especially rivers and near coastal seas. They seem toothless. |

Many comments on a threadbare squad and weak bench. Is this true? While it is true there is some inexperience of championship football all the players bar Lloyd and Abdullai have more than 50 games. Good keeper by all accounts Mclaughlin. Defence: Christie, Njoe an On, Naughton Midfield: Fulton ,Abdullai, Lloyd Forwards. MPH and Vipotnik. Academy kids not called on Govea, Parker, Bates Wilson. |

Stoke and Swansea are in the same mid table position win no parachutes. They have wasted over £100m+ more than Swansea and no better off. Ince, Woods Allen, Wilmott, Baker , Surridge and many more. They out bid Swansea frequently. [Post edited 26 Dec 22:32]

You are probably right on the matter of the pitch. It may be possible to extend pitch life without the 18st monsters churning it up. I doubt the Ospreys will be with us in 10 years but I could be wrong. |

I agree about the caps rule. all Welsh eligible players should be able to play. The Swansea.com set up was ideal for synergies. If Ospreys become successful the St Helens stadium will be redundant. It is included somewhere imagination incorporating the old s cricket bowl I might give it a one credit but the new design is cheap and nasty. |

The same mindset the same logic. The 2016 sale. It was not the sale that fans objected to but the " way or was carried out." I have heard that one so many times. Now Cardiff, Llanelli and Newport are standalone and the best "region" the Ospreys cannot get more than 7000 for a derby. They even. Play at Bridgend sometimes. The product is poor. |

South Wales was one of the poorest regions of the EU and was. getting EU backing. An Ineos factory was laid on by the Senedd to give jobs to soon to be redundent steel workers. Welsh people voted out and many like you favour all decision taken by non Welsh people. People blame the Senedd for their own stupidity |

Swansea pay around £300,000 to the council for the stadium I read a while back. This deal was based on the Council stadium being owned by the council and managed entirely by SCFC. Swansea city get all advertising and I believe the council might also get a cut. The football club would be very within their right to renegotiate if the council a have given the Ospreys ang incentives to leave I would think. The Ospreys are now RIVALS not partners. Someone mentioned events in the new St Helens box. They are going alone and if will be even tougher for them. The Scarlets will be the Rugby side of South West Wales. [Post edited 25 Dec 14:43]

The move has cost the football club money. They will not expect any favours from the football team. There is talk of one of the Ospreys or Sarlets being scrapped so they might h not get a good price there either. |

Ideally 3000-4000 will turn up play ing perhaps £5 each with the food and parking facilities open. Fans on here have been lauding the Ospreys for giving up the synergies which Swansea city provided for them. This could generate £200k a season. They should be looking for separate shirt sponsorship. The Trust could do this to help membership numbers. This will presumably cost the club lost revenue. If the Ospreys ever player entertaining rugby the 8,000 capacity will be too small and they will be locking out their fans. I expect Coleman to rinse them if the want to return for big derby games at the Swansea.com. to get lost money back. |

Yes I agree but the valuation of a notional 50p is used presumably to determine % percentage holding of the club. What % holding arises from the £20m invested. This depends on the notional share price. The higher the club share price the lower number of share to be purchased and the less the minor shareholders are diluted in terms of percentage holding. The Trust will not tell you this. I do (if I have interpreted the figures correctly) The fans hate 'the Yank's but do not appreciate their kind actions. It is the same with Leigh Dineen and his support for the Women's team. How much did Coleman and co buy the club for? Not a lot I suspect. |
| Forum Reply | New finances logged by the Swans : But what are the implications ? at 15:03 24 Dec 2024
The numbers sort of make sense 42,058,434 new shares at a price of 50p a share of a is £21,029,217. There are 164,874,306 shares in the club at 50p valuing the club at £82m. This is clearly overvalued meaning the dilution has been generous to minor shareholders. The 5% protection for the fans holding confirms they will never be of importance and reflects the "wimpy" nature of this organisation. They had it all but chose to look for protection not big money and clout. [Post edited 24 Dec 15:05]

Who was it who said the presentation was " embarrassing". ? Cabango said this. ""Andy arranged a presentation with all the staff; the chef, the assistant coaches, the kit men, Grimesy was in it, and obviously the gaffer. That was a big thing because they were all telling me how much they want me to be here, and what the club's going to be looking like in the future. It all sounded really good to me, and I gained a lot out of it. I just want to get better and better." Some posters just cannot be relied upon. |

The game hasd no choice but to change. It was not an option but a necessity. Scottish rugby can only fund two teams so how could Wales support ten? The negative mindset of Welsh rugby fans is too blame. The god old days were never going to last. You see this narrow mindset on this forum. The Irish have four good strong regions..Their worst is better than Welsh best. |
