Basics
at 22:35 5 Oct 2024

It’s why Moyes would be ideal.

He focuses on the basics, which is just a huge part of the game.

If today was Martin’s last game, he can leave with his head held high.

He has stuck to his principles; we just aren’t good enough to play that way.

If he refuses to change, he has to be let go.

He’ll be playing in centre-midfield, I reckon.

As showcased in the Oxford pre-season friendly.

The perfect preparation for this game.

Manning cannot conceivably be at left-back.

Saka could have drunk 20 pints last night and he would still run Manning ragged if he was at left-back.

This must surely be Buddha’s last match.

A big “fcuk you” to everybody.

Manning is presumably one of 3 CB’s or playing in midfield.

This looked such a success in the Oxford pre-season friendly…..

I think it could be a bit worse than Option 4.

Arsenal score loads of goals from set-pieces.

Buddha says we have been working extra hard this week on practicing set-piece defending (obviously we showcased this expertly on Monday….).

Do we actually have a set-piece coach after that Swedish guy left a few months ago????

One of the best I’ve seen TBF.

96th minute as well, could be costly at the end of the season…..

Buddha says he could coach defensive team 'really, really excellently'

This is why his teams always concede so few goals each season, yes?

I fear that the pressure has made him bordering on delusional.

Nadhim Zahawi was a football hooligan and involved in violence at the Liverpool v Saints Cup semi-final at White Hart Lane in 1986.

Should be on Call My Bluff, that one….

It is getting utterly ridiculous.

I now really wish I had gone to Everton away in the Cup to have seen him score a penalty for us.

A relic.

5 Things About Bournemouth
at 13:56 4 Oct 2024

Have tried to erase the memory of Monday from my mind, but here goes.

1. Chaplins remains the best pub within walking distance of the ground

2. I saw Steven Davis in the away end, walked past me in the concourse at half-time when I was contemplating walking out. How we could do with him in the team now (or even bloody managing it...)

3. Boscombe fans are shite

4. Their team are far too good for the support they get

5. Thankfully didn't have to rely on a train home, but still only got home just before midnight, and I only live 4 miles from the ground.....

Brereton has consistently been a crock of shite.

Picking a striker to start is a bit like judging the winner of a beauty contest when the only contestants are Ann Widdecombe and Anne Robinson.

But on balance I would start with Archer.
