| Forum Reply | 5 Things About The Everton Game at 17:17 4 Nov 2024
1. We won 2. We kept a clean sheet, or as you said Nick Ramsdale kept a clean sheet with a class performance 3. Fernandez is pure class. Everything he does is progressive 4. Has Martin found his best team 5. We need a goal scorer in the January window |

I’m sure if it was Harwood-Bellis I’d be saying yellow 😉 We probably got away with one with the Bednarek challenge although Dyche only appeared to see one of those challenges 🤣 |

I didn’t realise VAR checked it. That makes it even worse When you say it’s definitely a yellow I would disagree Law 12 of the official FA rulebook stating that the following must result in a red card: “A tackle or challenge that endangers the safety of an opponent or uses excessive force or brutality must be sanctioned as serious foul play. Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs, with excessive force or endangers the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.” I think the challenge meets that criteria |

Absolutely Grumps and it would have taken 4 seconds not 4 minutes 😅 |
| Forum Reply | Var bias to big clubs at 12:23 4 Nov 2024
What about Tarkowski’s challenge on Archer? Didn’t even go to VAR Plus how come it took about 4 minutes for VAR to decide Everton’s equaliser was offside. It was clearly off. I think they were deciding what repercussions there would be if they gave it VAR officials are incompetent and VAR is not fit for purpose |
| Forum Reply | Still no start for Onuacho at 12:31 31 Oct 2024
Even though we won Grumps I thought the performance was embarrassing. We were playing an under strength Stoke side who are fighting relegation from the Championship and but for a last ditch goal line clearance from Sugawara we would probably have lost and thrown another two goal home lead away Russell Martin said this was our most important game of the season. He can’t have been happy with that performance And I’m not knocking Martin, with the strike force he has to choose from he’s on a hiding to nothing |

I don't know, a dead 750 year old mythical figure would probably be better than Cameron Archer |
| Forum Reply | Still no start for Onuacho at 11:23 30 Oct 2024
Hi Grumps, hope you’re well. Totally agree. I think we have to give him a run of games. The odd start or sub appearance here or there is not going to work If you look at his goals he actually scores more with his feet than his head and he has some good skill for a big man but if you look at his goals you also realise he got much better delivery than he has had at Saints I’m not sure what the answer is but I’m convinced it ain’t Archer or BBD |
| Forum Reply | Still no start for Onuacho at 10:06 30 Oct 2024
I disagree with some of your points Nick. I don’t think Archergot into goal scoring positions. There were a few good low crosses from Sugawara and Fernandez I think where Archer hadn’t anticipated and was yards back rather than being in the kill zone so to speak which is where Tall Paul positioned himself but the ball never came. You’re saying Archer’s lack of touches was because of the delivery but Onuachu had far more touches in the 20 odd minutes he was on I’m not saying Onuachu is the answer, I’m saying Archer, Armstrong and Brereton-Diaz aren’t |
| Forum Reply | Still no start for Onuacho at 09:56 30 Oct 2024
Yes he was giving Cornet a complete roasting. You could clearly see him saying he wanted the crosses whipped in The only crosses he got were floated crosses which gave him no chance just like the Armstrong cross against Man City. Those types of crosses are really difficult to generate any power with particularly as with last night where the two crosses he did get were even too high for him |
| Forum Reply | Still no start for Onuacho at 08:47 30 Oct 2024
Yes but just like last night Nick the delivery to him from the wide men has been non existent. You could see his frustration last night. He was getting into the type of goal scoring positions that are alien to Archer and Brereton Diaz but the ball never came in. It was being played horizontally across the pitch to get our possession stats up He’s a proven scorer and this was exactly the game to start him What was the point in starting Armstrong. We know he can score at Championship level and can’t score at Premier League level already As for Archer, Sky showed his touch map. I think when he went off he’d had 5 touches against a championship relegation threatened side full of fringe players when we had a high possession percentage. That is absolutely inexcusable and we have to try an alternative or we’re relegated. He’s proven this season and at Sheffield Utd and Villa that he just isn’t good enough in the PL The problem is Onuachu doesn’t fit into our style of trying to score the perfect goal by walking the ball into the net |
| Forum Reply | How do we play 10 mins extra time at 16:49 21 Oct 2024
We've clearly upset Anthony Taylor who gave a penalty for a slight shirt pull by Fraser when only minutes before Ayew had pulled Tall Paul's shirt at a rough estimate for about 10 - 12m. It's really disappointing as we'd even bought on Smallbone so that Taylor wasn't the only bald tw@t on the pitch |

Have I missed an injury update? No like most of SRs attacking signings he’s even too💩 to get in our forward line |
| Forum Reply | And so it begins - City v football at 12:45 9 Oct 2024
This will only finish one way. Manchester City's lawyer is being paid in excess of £10k per hour so I expect City to be hit with a fine rather than a points deduction, probably £1m or thereabouts which is like fining me 50p. The PL have already prepared the ground for not deducting City points by refusing to dock Leicester points for blatant FFP breaches I saw some Liverpool and Man Utd fans suggesting City could be hit with expulsion from the league. If that happened City's lawyers would bankrupt the PL. The PL are scared sh1tless that a European super league could result from City being expelled which would finish the PL gravy train Just my opinion |

Good finish by a player Boscombe spent £40m on Meanwhile we pissed approx £53m up the wall on Tall Paul, Archer, Brereton Diaz and Stewart and are pinning our scoring hopes on an 18 year old |
| Forum Reply | Southampton Monitoring Another Championship Manager at 11:21 23 Sep 2024
Is anyone seriously thinking that would be a good move? He's failed to get Baggies promoted two seasons running and lost three times to Martin last season. Hopefully like Eustace it's just lazy journalism |

Spot on Saints Fan It doesn’t matter who’s in charge, if your strikers don’t score you can’t win |

Let’s face it Archer cost us today. If he was anywhere near a decent striker we’d have buried Ipswich, end of |
| Forum Reply | Southampton Already Have Their Target To Replace Russell Martin at 09:10 21 Sep 2024
“Eustace might not be a big name, but the Southampton hierarchy are said to be impressed with his credentials.” What like they were impressed with Nathan Jones, Ruben Seles,Mara’s, Onuachu’s, Orsic’s, Caleta-Carr’s, Sulemana and Holgate’s credentials. After 5 games let’s sack a manager who got us promoted and replace him with a manager who narrowly avoided relegation with Birmingham City and then got sacked and is totally unproven. Forgive me if I don’t get too excited [Post edited 21 Sep 9:13]
