Gotta hand it to Turkey with this crazy approach of attacking with pace, passing the ball forward and giving 100% effort and passion on the pitch and in the dugout Phenomenal game and credit to everyone on the pitch Hell of an atmosphere in the stadium an all Quite fancied the Turks and called the 2-1 The games are like home ones for them - you never know….. |

I find the Portugal team intensely dislikable Dunno why as they have some class players |

Have we signed Frey??? Maybe that’s your reference to 3-in-1 as we’ll need a hell of a lot of oil for his joints. I actually think he’s got a bit about him (as long as we don’t expect pace) Dykes is out medium term surely? Such a shame as I think even featuring at the Euros may well have seen him move on for a couple of mill. Sincs will hopefully kick on but I’d say jury very much out. Can he bag 8 to 12 goals? Not sure Kolli must surely be seen as a 10, Smyth a winger and Kelman the non scoring goal machine gone for the season. Leaves a paucity of options no? Almost Ainsworth-esque going into a fresh season If we don’t sign this Brazilian then I’d expect a Prem prospect on loan around August |

Almost as embarrassing as ITV fawning over this Yank female ref She makes the decisions sound even more laughable It’s becoming a really shitshow modern football |

Rowan Vine did some good things for us - him and Hogan were telepathic at stages and a joy to watch. He lost it due to Matt Pickens and I am well aware of what he was apparently like off the pitch. We really do need a bit part GK to get close to Richards at training (if he ever shows up) |

Maybe I’m too old for this Shiite now and maybe it’s just me but I just feel this tournament has never captivated the supporting England nation. I’ve only spoken to one diehard England fan (you know who you are) who went into this thinking we could win it. Most saw the abortion of a squad that was picked, the demeanour of the Manager and thought the media hype was mental. I’ve gone back 14 years in my feelings towards the national side. Mad really as a lot of my reconnection was down to Safegates early years At the moment I’m not hankering to get over there and enjoy a bit of “follow England away”…. I probably would for old times sake if the chance landed in my lap though!!! Good luck to the lad’s tomorrow and hopefully the shackles come off and we get a show but I’m going 1-1 at FT and what happens after that is anyone’s guess. Got an Iceland feel to it…… |

My last word on it all is that I will never ever forgive Safegate for that debacle at Wembley against one of the worst Italy teams for many year back in 2021. As I walked out of Wembley that night I served a Fattwah on him. It's a shame it's all ended like this but it should've ended in August 2021 That's all folks I'm off to tell my box room wall how much I hate the colour it's painted in |

When the Irish somehow beat us 1-0? When we lost Butch to injury and the Holland game slipped away from us despite dominating and hitting the woodwork three times and Lineker actually had herpes (the dirty sod)? As for Safegate emulating Robson I assume that's either reference to Bryan's managerial career or designed as a wind up. Suite as.... |

Yeah….. Belgium and Schifo were shite in ‘90 weren’t they. Holland with Ruud etc clearly a pushover Cameroon were fantastic Don’t get your cheating stance, that was a monumental effort to get past them. I’d say we were better than the Jerries in that game and deserved to win. The lottery of penalties killed us yet again. Maybe 1990 was such a good year for me that I’m inexplicably emotionally attached to Sir Bobby, a man whose managerial career GS will never emulate. However my point was that Sir Bobby realised he needed to change back in ‘86 and he did - mid tournament after two poor results. What followed was a Lineker hatrick to get out of the group, another decent three goal win and then the hand of God Can you see Safegate going for it now and being brave as he banged on about after picking his squad? Me neither!!! |
