I agree mate, does seem a bit premature but equally don't think it's fair to just assume he's chasing the money. He's clearly ambitious and must back himself to do well there.
I went to the Belgrade Derby about 10 years ago. It was absolutely incredible but I went with a mate who's half Serbian and regularly travels over there for games. I wouldn't have fancied it without a local with us. He knew what to do to get us there, into the ground and then back safely afterwards, without running into opposing fans or riot police. It was a very menacing atmosphere inside and outside the ground. That's probably because it was Red Star v Partizan and it may be fine for a normal game.
I think it's the only game I've been to where the away fans were in two separate sections of the away end (separated by riot police) and spent the whole game lobbing flares and missiles at each other despite supporting the same team.
