It's all very odd, isn't it?

There's so many contradictions.

I keep looking at the figures and thinking "If Starmer had stayed Left, he mightn't have lost 3m votes".

Thanks Clive.

Was just about to go looking for those figures.

FPtP is a truly messed-up version of delivering democracy.

1.37 am and I might have been unlucky but that's the first visit Channel 4 have made to Northern Ireland that I've seen, and I've heard very little from Wales or Scotland either.

Sate of the Nation, eh?

C4 studio has the last twenty yoofs still slouching here from Jools' last Hootenanny.
And now they're interviewing them to back up the exit polls.

"Ya, ya...that;s just what I think,,,"

The last ten minutes on C4 was cracking.

I think it was a Gogglebox-type thing.

Who's this Labour young fella on the BBC with his "you guys" and "you fellas" and his pre-rehearsed, hyper-soundbites?

Has he never heard that if "you have the full cup you walk slowly"?

I'm still struggling to find a good site for results.
This is the best I've found.

The BBC are usually great at this.

There's always money, Wilkins. The world is awash with money.

You just have to have a society that shares it around. Not steals it, but shares it.

Upvoted for two reasons:

1) Because the 'Late start to avoid injury' thing was clearly a nonsense, and
2) Because your last line made me laugh.

Thanks for posting that, dmm.

Poor journalism by the two websites involved. It amounts to a free hit. To suggest that Cifuentes is not "an honest person" could mean anything, could mean something horrible, and for them to throw it out there without explanation, response, corroboration or confirmation is just poor journalism.

You're right to point out that the situation has at least one question mark.

I'm worried that we on here often risk the same error when we chat about Richards?
After all, do any of us know anything about his circumstances, his life, his physical wellbeing, his mental health?

I'm not sure about you lot but I did some dreadful things when I was a young fella.
There were reasons, but no excuses. In my case.
I know nothing about Richards. Nothing.
But if I'm going to ask for due process for Cifuentes, I should ask for the same for Richards.

I've never voted Tory, but I'll always be appreciative of Major's role in the Northern Ireland peace process. Here in modern, peaceful Ireland people eulogise Clinton's part in the transition to peace. They used to quite rightly praise Major but over time he seems to have been forgotten, perhaps at the expense of Blair and Mowlam. They certainly helped seal the deal, but there would have been no deal if it wasn't for Major. He showed vision and fine and subtle diplomacy.

I don't see any of that, Hon. At least not yet.

I see a lot of talk, but it's far too early to tell and far too hard to tell if it's just the same old talk we've heard so many, many times before. Or something real.

I think the team's culture is far better - we can see that with our own eyes - but that's down to Cifuentes, and were he to be replaced by Redknapp in the morning I'm not sure the club's culture is any stronger than it has been of late.

Well, clearly the Superbru result should be overturned to, let's say, 2-1 to Austria?

Right. Good. I'll tell UEFA.

Agreed.

I'm also cautious about Nourry. There's a danger that we cannonise him just because we want or need change. I remember us beatifying Briatore and his crew as well.

Paul Hall leaving leaves me with the same feeling as Kenneth Paal leaving: let's see how we fare hiring better before we celebrate.
