We do have some very odd looking fans and many who have no interest in singing or showing an ounce of passion which I’ve always found a bit weird. |

I’ve had season tickets in every stand and you won’t want to be in the chapel. I started there when the ground opened and couldn’t wait to get out it , really was depressing in there .
The best atmosphere I’ve heard at St Mary’s was West Brom in the play offs. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the loudness and the passion, flares etc . We can do it when we want to . The lack of quality songs has always been a problem. Todays nippers need to sort it out. |

Shearer , Oxlaide - Chamberlain, Shaw, Walcott. That’s 4 kids straight off the top of my head that were good enough at 16, 17 , 18 and were played regularly. |

It’s not just Dibling though . I want to see Fernandes start too who has been good every time he’s come on including the friendlies . I think we’ve all had enough of Smallbone and Aribo starting time to try something different. As you often say you do the same things you get the same results.
It’s time to be brave but I doubt he will.
One thing that does give me a bit of hope is he’s quoted as saying he wanted to give the players that got us promoted a fair crack of the whip to start the season but it clearly hasn’t worked so maybe he will change something who knows . |

Yes I would have loved to have kept Alcaraz too but RM more or less admitted that he just didn’t fit in with his style of play . RM needs to learn to be a bit more flexible with some players. I’m looking forward to the Man U game just to see if there is any change in style at all but I won’t hold my breath. |

Dibling and Amo- Ayew need to start by 1teeminants 24 Aug 20:13The best two players pre season so f***** play them !!! . As soon as Dibling came on we looked decent before that it was pretty predictable and Dull.
Give the flair players a run that includes Alcaraz, don’t stifle their ability . We have players that can hurt teams let them play ffs. Today was predictable and boring. This system might have worked in the championship but it won’t work in this league the players are to good . Sadly I think he’s too thick and arrogant to see it .
Fernandes looked decent when he came on looks a class signing. Start him ffs

Yep some were crucifying him before he’d even managed a game last season and despite a disastrous start last year he turned it round. He got us promoted and he deserves at least 7/8 games to turn it around then change it if he refuses to change his team selection or his tippy tappy at the back nonsense. The players seem to like him and there appears to be a good team spirit which counts for a lot.
I’m pretty confident if he starts or gives more of the flair players time like Dibling, Amo - Ayew , Cornet , Fernandes etc Saints will be fine.
Shearer, Walcott ,Shaw just 3 examples of if you’re good enough you’re old enough ffs .
Just play them !! |

I could name about 4 people( but I won’t ) that will qualify for this game and they went to about 3/4 away games last season some even less . They just buy every ticket to get their credits up and flog them . The club needs to stamp this out because genuine fans with 9/10/ 11 / 12 aways often can’t get tickets. [Post edited 29 Aug 19:37]

After last night thought I’d bump this.
Dibling once again, Amo- Ayew once again,the best two players we have even though they are only Young , Start then and let them do what they want and cause damage. They were superb last night and they have been superb in friendlies .
If you’re good enough you’re old enough.
Fernandes once again looked quality, start him too. |

Yep 12.50 train c/ Ford to Romsey Change trains then on to Cardiff with my son.
Staying overnight.
The new signings will feature as I thought RM had said Fernandes and Lesley will be playing. I imagine Archer will start and Charlie Taylor, Wood , Edwards.
Looking forward to it. |
