It's Moyes in at Old Trafford on 17:13 - May 8 with 3103 views | ColDale | As I said last night, I think Moyes would be a massive mistake for United. Its entirely possible that Moyes has been more limited at Everton that anyone could ever realise, but he lacks the European experience, and he lacks the footballing style. More than ever, his footballing mentality at Everton is to set up a team of underdogs who over achieve. At a big club, he'll have to set up his sides to dominate teams and play the majority of the game in the opposition half - something he's not had to do at Everton.

Completely agree. Of the other names touted, I would have gone for Klopp. The only thing counting against him is his lack of Premier League experience, which Mourinho has. If both wanted the job, both would come before Moyes in my reckoning.

I cant see Jurgan Klopp coming to england, he wouldn't get the time to develop a side, and would make many enemies with his outspoken, eccentric personality. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Not really done him any harm tho has it? Why would Klopp creating "enemies" affect his managerial capabilities

I never said it would, he has managed to turn Dortmund around, I love the pace his teams play at, I just don't think England is right for him, the style of football here. By comparison, I can see Jupp Heynckes in the premierleague. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

If that's the criteria there's an outside chance Alex Mcleish will get it. I'd fookin love that.

Unfortunately I don't set the criteria, else I'd appoint the fookin' Krankies.

The Krankies are a great idea to be the next United management team, an average idea or the worse idea ever. Thought I'd save you a bit of time Olympic.

It's Moyes in at Old Trafford on 03:36 - May 9 with 2467 views | DiddyDave | It looks to me that the only reason Moyes is being appointed is because he hails from north of the border, though it must be said that most of the best managers since the war have come from Scotland;Busby,Stein,Shankly,Dalgleish come to mind. But,then again, there`s been plenty of lemons too;Ally McLeod,McLeish,Billy McNeill,Souness,Strachan to name a few. As has been pointed out already,Moyes has no experience in Europe, but the main concern to me is his lack of experience with big names and I remember how Best,Law and a few more made life hell for Wilf McGuinness when he took over from Busby in 1969. Fergy will still be there to help out which will be good, but football fans have no patience and I can just imagine 75,000 angry voices if things don`t go well early next season. We`ll see.

More than a bit arrogant of Rooney to suggest, a) that Bayern actually would want him, and b) that he would even start in that team. Having attackers of the likes of Mandzukic, Muller and Gomez, not to mention the incoming arrival of Gotze, he would struggle to get many games.
