You're right. Administration is only for those than CAN be saved and rescued with the necessary help. Reading the plea I would venture to suggest that Bury are long past the stage where help is of any use, other than a massive and IMMEDIATE cash injection.
Unfortunately, Bury have a poor history with finances. Even their creditors are now turning the screws ever tighter. Squeeze, Blood and Stones come to mind. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Bury supporters need to ask some deep and searching questions. I know there's no way I'd be putting a brass farthing of my own anywhere that shower of incompetent financial guardians.
Their manager has repeatedly said he was unaware of the gravity of the financial situation when he took the job.

That's the thing I can't get my head around, why were these players recruited if there was even a hint that months down the line they'd be countin the costs, whoever sanctioned these deals needs to be seriously questioned, or was it simply an ego thing for the board. [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

If I was writing a begging letter, I wouldn't be too specific about proposing how the consortium might be comprised.
Is the £100k x 10 (as opposed to say, £250k x 4) just being practical, or would they baulk at the consortium becoming too powerful through the level of investment?
