Does Juric want to be here next season? 19:14 - Feb 17 with 1565 viewsPatfromPoole

My trusted sources tell me that he is staying in a hotel in the SO postcode area.

Two months of doing that whilst regularly losing would have me wanting to head to Italy / Croatia / wherever he claims is his home.

The money might be good, but I can't see it being a very appealing gig at a team which is going to require a fair bit of surgery in the summer to play in a League he knows nothing about.

To be fair Pat, one wonders what he knew about the PL before coming in. For me if he should go, we need a proper tried and tested Championship ilk manager. We are in a mess and really do need / will need, to go back to basics starting with a spine of a team.

Ready and waiting to mop up those European places......

Normally the hotel that the Saints use is Harbour Hotel at Ocean Village.

Not too bad but accept the location could be bettered.

I think a friend of Lucy Pinder is helping out.

The sooner he fvcks off the better.

His knowledge of the premier league seems limited and I dread to think what he knows about the championship.

The worry is who those clowns at the top chose for their 6th manager .

I think it's looking increasingly likely that he won't be here next season.

Hopefully there is a clause in his contract that allows him to leave this summer. I think it was best to say he was on an 18 month contract as that did give some incentive for him to stay if he did well but the way things are going I just can't see how it is beneficial for him to be in charge next season.

Like we did with Martin, give the new manager a clean start in the Championship.

I really wanted Juric to do well but he just isn't helping himself. That first half against Bournemouth, various other halves against other teams, his refusal to not play with his preferred formation is all stacking up against him. The fans are looking for someone or something to blame and I think he's going to be the one to get some stick in the next few games if we carry on losing.

This season is done.
Next season we just might be a more attractive proposition.
Personally I would like to see Danny Rohl given the job of rebuilding us.
His managerial record is good 40%
Perhaps he could bring Shea Charles with him.
German coaches are usually very good.
I could be wrong but I am at loss where we go from here.

TBF to David Brent, he did at least know a fair bit about the Championship.

I think it’s a pre-requisite for succeeding in that League.

Maresca and Mckenna had no issues navigating the Championship last season and neither had played or managed their before.

Not that I'm saying I want Juric to be our manager next season..God no.

Rohl ..yes please.

2020/21 Norwich Daniel Farke
2019/20 Leeds Marcelo Bielsa

2024/25 Leeds Daniel Farke ??

Three out of seven would be some going. Let's get a bit of whatever he's got.

This season was done long before Juric was brought in. The team that won at Wembley were never going to be good enough to survive in the Prem and the players we signed in the summer (Fernandes aside) were even worse than what we already had. Added to Rusty's ridiculous philosophy that these sub-standard players could outplay the competition, we were always destined to have an awful season.

Had we appointed a Moyes or Dyche when Rusty got the bullet, then I've no doubt they'd have had more of an impact in organising us and making us harder to beat, but I very much doubt we'd have had enough in the tank to stay up. If we'd have opted for a Rohl or another Championship proven manager at that time, I think working with the inadequacies of this squad for the remainder of the season would have done more damage than good, so appointing someone to see it out worked for me.

Hopefully SR are thinking the same and will have their target for next season lined up and ready to go shortly after this one finishes. There's no way Juric should be in charge....that would be completely ridiculous.

He normally talks a lot of sense, but Jo Tessem has been saying over the last couple of days that we should have Juric in charge for next season.

Baffling.

Charles is still our player. He is only on loan at Sheffield Wednesday so will be with us at the start of next season.

That’s if SR don’t sell him.
Not likely if DR moves with him.

Lawrie McMenemy came from Grimsby.
Gordon Strachan came from Coventry.
Alan Pardew came from Charlton.
Plenty of good Championship Players.
