So Who Would You Like To See In Charge ? 10:57 - Jan 13 with 3659 viewsSTID2017

Assuming Williams time is short with us, who would you like to see as a replacement ?
Personally I would be happy to see a proven manager like Ian Holloway come in.
His Blackpool team were one of the most entertaining opposition teams I have seen at the stadium
If we are to continue being a mid table team, at least let's start enjoying it

I've always wondered what we'd be like with The Evil Genius in charge. I see he's coaching at ADO Den Haag, so he's half-way here already!

The problem is I suspect is even though it looks like our new owners are up for it they won't pay top money for a proven championship manager so I think it will be another youngers up and coming manager.

To answer the question, I'd like to see Steve Schumacher here, he has championship experience, he likes to play football on the floor (that's why he failed at stoke😉) and he won't cost the earth.

I'd prefer a Tony Mowbray type. Someone with a bit of a track record either in the UK or abroad.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Mowbray is a good shout
He would accept our limitations and have us playing accordingly like not expecting McGlaughlin to play tipp tappy to full backs masquerading as central defenders
Basic stuff really

Craig Bellamy would be a decent appointment not sure if he would come though.

Some laughable suggestions here fair play.

Tony Mowbray, Ian Holloway, Craig Bellamy etc. Ignorance is bliss as they say.

Not as good as the Anthony Wright suggestion though.

There’s not a lot out there, and it may look like a frenzy but Luke if he can turn something around and gets a win will buy himself some time. But he’s a win one or two lose one or two then draw manager. Will keep you in the league with a few scares and is only six points or so off the play offs atm. It isn’t the time for me (purely because it isn’t the time for the club) but the writing has been on the wall for a few weeks. We must always look at the new investors in this, and then their 21m investment and ask ourselves what would you if you were them.

Well I’d expect them to be more measured in their approach than the ordinary fan clouded by passion and emotion.

I’d also expect them to have a replacement lined up there or thereabouts and to have thought out the expense of it all and how it affects our purchases in the next couple of weeks.

Emotion clearly won’t affect their decision though, they will be more pragmatic than that.

Can we afford to make a change after a year.
In saying that the fixtures do not get easier after Cardiff.
Sheffield United home is going to be very tough. A team with a lot of striking options & they are still trying to get McBurnie back on loan.

But who in the club would have a clue to appoint?
Coleman apparently chose Luke, does he now have enough knowledge of English football to choose a suitable manager.
Do the new investors have that insight?
Lots of names nanded about on here.....how many of those would play the "Swansea way" how soon before gans start banging on about pragmatic managers whilst getting results playing poor dull football.

We are really in a mess a paper thin squad as illustrated yesterday with Christie and Naughton starting at centre back....issues in midfield and up front and now yet again another manager crisis....most if which has been fuelled by the media...

So we have a crap squad and a crap.manager....what that "decent" manager would want to come here given our recent history

It's time to dump the "Swansea way" and get playing football to the best ability of the players we have. How long have we claimed to try and play the Swansea way and only spiraled downwards. Defend well, attack with pace and get the ball into the back of the net. Football shouldn't be a game of chess.

tell the fanbase and posters on the forums that...
football is about results first entertainment second....and I guess the new investors will be looking for results and promotion to the PL as thats were the rewards are.

Football can be entertaining without playing the "Swansea way", it's vastly overrated and outdated. Those who live in the past die in the past, times move on.
