I totally understand the sense of despair from many but we can't just give up with so much of the season to play. Looks to me like the players still care even if they're not very good. Celar could do with a spell away from the starting 11 but there's so few options. Lloyd puts himself about a bit but he's just another Sinclair Armstrong. Fine for the last 10-15 minutes but never a starter. Similar with Paul Smyth. It's a struggle to watch him play so many minutes when he is such a limited player but there really are no other options. |
Agreed. Smyth and Lloyd are subs to come on after 60 mins. They aren’t really good enough for long stints |  | | |

I don't think the squad as it stands is good enough. Get to January though within six points or so from safety and it's not impossible IF we get a couple of signings in who can make a difference. | | | |

If we were sitting mid table, we would have walked away from that and said good game both teams denied by good saves and could have gone either way.
I think we played alright but we can't finish.
However the Penalty. Now Celar took the ball off Madsen. That is putting the individual ahead of the team and Steve Cook has to take responsibility, he is the captain on the pitch and it should have intervened. Madsen was having a very good game too at 10 (even made a tackle and a foul).
Celar needs to be taken out of the team. He's had his opportunity, let Lloyd have the games until Frey is fit.
I thought Ashby played well at left back and better than Paal who was well off it when he came on.
Dunne is playing at right back like the Dunne at Centre Back. Last season a number of big mistakes. I thought Morrison did really well too.
Smyth drives me to insanity 50% fantastic 50% terrible his decision making is terrible.
I think its also apparent we still have major fitness issues, with too many player who cannot sustain 90 minutes. Saito had another good game but could barely stand after 75 minutes. Smyth and Madsen can't last a full game either. |  | | |

Agreed on Ashby. I thought he was good today and loved it when he went flying into a tackle towards the end. Showed some passion. I'm not a big Paal fan but I guess he has to play if fit as he's the only left footed full back. Maybe try Ashby on right and Paal on left. I think Morrison looks decent and long term of everyone's fit I'd like to see him and Clarke Salter as our CBs. Love Cook but he's definitely on the wane. [Post edited 23 Nov 19:56]
