French Ligue 2 - Reaction to TV deal 07:58 - Sep 1 with 2172 views | PlanetHonneywood | A few days ago I caught a piece on French TV about the reaction of fans to the Bein Sports deal, that's having the same effect on dates and times of matches. Fair play, and given their penchant for striking, they're making their feelings known. Lazer lighting the commentary booth during games; smashing/spray painting the OB trucks; huge signs on terraces; bombarding the pitch with tennis balls during a game; and here's the really good move, boycotting games. Fair fux to them. Not sure if other league twos in Europe similarly subjected to crap times or if fans are protesting, but with £150/active pricing for Oasis tickets, unless folks vote with their wallets and don't go or buy TV packages, this crap will only become more ingrained and worse. Modern life is rubbish!! | |
